So far just coffee.  Going to go to church with my MIL then out to b-fast afterwards.  Not sure what’s the plan after that.  I’m looking forward to spending the afternoon at home.  I may continue with pressure washing the house…

Fired up the Cub Cadet 54" Mower after a long winters slumber. Had to charge the battery over-night on low and deep.
 Checked the oil and tire psi levels, but should sharpen the blades for the season.
Now swapping out a 25 y/o queen mattress for a new one... that old one weighs a ton!! but I got it into the back of the truck alone. 
Next is a run for animal food at the farm store and pick up the new mattress.

Early in my second marriage I had a similar thought.
When asked to do laundry, I threw one red towel in with the whites...  thinking I would escape that chore forever.
 Didn't work... I am just banned from doing "whites" still 25 years later today.

I put Betty Lou on the zero turn once... just once. It was all my fault because I forgot to tell her to spit the chewing gum out first.

At least you didn't have to clean poop out of the mower like I had to do with my uncle who couldn't hold his mud so to speak. He'd forget about it where it would dry out making it hard to remove too. Fun times. I miss my late uncle but I don't miss that.

I slept.  I futzed around for a few hours this morning but after lunch I decided to put the foot rest up on the recliner.  I woke up nearly four hours later.  I spent an hour sitting on mom's porch letting her reminisce about old canoe trips.  I'm out in the shed now fiddling with air guns.

I washed the zturn mower yesterday after mower here at the house. First time cleaning after the last motor swap and it needed it from some early season mowing when the ground wasn't completely dried out.
I need to go get some gas for it and mow the barn property today. They pulled the big JD tractor with the brush mower on it out of the barn to take it someplace so I'll have to mow around it.

 Yesterday was a lazy day I mostly napped, rare for me, I did shoot a few guns but don't ask me what ones. LOL I forgot !

Did some more house clearing and donating stuff.

 When I arrived at the house my brother, and two nephews were already there. I notice the sheds were already opened up and thought they opened them. Nope then I spotted one of the padlocks, it was cut off and the other pad lock is gone too! The only thing of any value in either shed was my Leaf Blower/Vac and it was still there with some odd junk. So nothing was taken. I realize it was probably a test run and they will probably be back. If they break in to the house they will be disappointed and find nothing of value to steal there now either because my nephew took all his tools home when he quit for the day today.
 
 I told the neighbors about it too so they might see something and call 911 if the thieves/trespassers come back.

Not a good sign for the incoming tenants. Security system would be first on my list. A mote full of gators might be next.
Like my grandma used to say "Don't bring that mess around here, I ain't kilt nobody in 3 weeks"

Well Saturday night Sunday morning there was no break in. I haven't checked today yet. I am about to head in to the house in a few minutes.
 It is in a senior only housing area so crime is less than it could be but, it is adjacent to a not so good area and does get ne'er do wells sneaking in after dark some. Since most are mostly obviously recognizably out of place they just use the cover of darkness. My Dad lived a block over for 20 years and had no troubles, that whole time the lady that lived there had no trouble, in the past three years we have had no trouble there either. The neighbors directly next door to the carport area are both deaf so that won't help catch anyone.    The neighbor across the street has a couple of Cameras but aimed where they aren't really any help. He did say he plans on installing another pointed straight at that area soon. My brother has a security system he owns and will be moving when he moves in, and he also has plans for a gate at the front of the carport to impede access to the sheds.

Right now I'm sitting by the shell station waiting for the FedEx driver to show up. The wife messed up on the chewy order and had part coming to the shell station and half going to my daughter's house.🤬🤬 It's one of the negatives of living way up a unmaintained dirt road.

Got the goggles I ordered which helped yesterday with blocking dust out of the eyes while mowing more than the shades that I'm used to. Came with 2 different straps but I use neither and they fit good without em.

Finally got the tractor tire changed so no more flat tires to deal with. Tomorrow after the platelet run pick up zoo food, stuff to fix the van, some groceries, and anything else I missed last trip. Time to mow again so the backhoe comes off and the bushhog is hooked up to knock down the jungle.

Completed my fourth outside agency audit this year today at my municipal job.  Submitted an application to GA EPD and USACOE for a box culvert design on my part time job.  Spent Sunday doing chores for MIL.  One more audit to wrap up at work this week

I took mom and some of her friends out for a boat ride on the pontoon.  We went up river til we ran out of water.  My mom was allowed to Pole her own skiff around the bayou when she was six years old and cannot understand folk who are not “boat people”.  One of our guests was a gentleman who was clearly uncomfortable and wore his PFD laced up tight the entire trip.  Mom sat next to me and grumped about the “sissy”. We came to a big blow down and mom and I deliberated about whether we could get through it.  Mom wanted to chainsaw it up and clear the channel but I can’t handle a chainsaw right now and the two other males aboard thought it was too dangerous.  We cruised home with my 86 year old mother abusing us for being a bunch of lazy wimps.

I pumped the 400 gallons that was still in the water trailer and went and got another 1000 gallons and pumped about 800 gallons into the storage tanks yesterday. I also had to wait at the shell station in town to meet the FedEx driver to get a chewy order.

  I worked 9:00 until 3:00 on the house clearing out and called it a day.

I hauled the rest of the furniture to the pet rescue thrift store storage place, my brother in law came and helped load it up. Then we went back took all the plants and pots off of the picnic table and benches and loaded them up along with a recliner my wife decided to keep.

 I still have a recliner and the picnic table and 4 benches to unload but, I am resting and eating leftover Pizza first.

 I also brought a Vacuum cleaner home to fix it. Let's just say someone vacuumed up a bunch of leaves so it is plugged up. 

  I tripped and fell on the concrete today.    One good thing about living in a lot of pain is more makes little difference.

I went to be evaluated by an occupational therapist today.  My insurance company dictates who I get treated by and this was not someone I had worked with before.  She seemed like capable lady and I think I’ll be fine with her.  She cleared me to return to work and I’m scheduled to start back Sunday on the Late Field shift so I’ve got three more days of ease before I have to get busy.

Went paddling and cut it short. None of the weather forecasts said anything about the brutally cold wind that reared up as clouds thickened and spread. Looked like thunderstorms were building, though they didn't occur while I was there. I suspect that widespread controlled burns on USFS land contributed to the cloud seeding effect.

When my hands got numb I knew it was time to call it quits. Bummer.

Did the usual Tuesday errands later on. Bleah.
