Going under the knife on Tuesday:robotic suprapubic prostatectomySo, this am, I had a big breakfast at Nations.Three egg breakfast.Got the Silverado washed and gassed up.Starting clear liquid diet so I will be making a bunch of jello today..
My husband and I lugged out the tall stepladder and, using an extending pole, knocked down some vacated YJ nests under high eave corners. As soon as we knocked off the first one, a YJ appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. It had not come from the nest. Luckily, all the nests were indeed vacant. Double-bagged and into the trash bin they went. The eaves got a spray of Raid Black as a reminder to any YJs looking to rebuild.Maybe tomorrow the wind will stay low enough to do some airgun practice. I settled for a little bit of dry fire practice inside, with a PB revolver. Dry fire practice: Bo-ring.

I went in to spray the nest. When I moved the plywood they swarmed. I turned to run and tripped over our Dachshund and flew shoulder first into a tree. I guess the bees died laughing because I didn't get stung once.
