Moved my Son and daughter-in-law from village ghetto land downtown Atlanta to Rural North Georgia in their first house at age 25.  Got to hold my grandson at the end as he had a fit when Momy returned the Uhaul and he had to take a bottle from me....A little grandpa magic and reheated mother's milk and he was out like a light.  Guess he wore himself out making clear his demands....lol

I lived in Flowery Branch for years and hardly ever went past spaghetti junction.

I drove a boat tour for a church group from Albany Ga.  I was the youngest person on board.  They laughed at all my jokes.  Yeah it’s official.  I’m a geezer.

I saw where eastern Wisconsin was really getting clobbered with the snow.

It snowed here last night and this morning but only a couple of inches at best.

We didn't get any snow.  But we are getting alerts on the weather radio and TV.  Much of the tornado activity in along the northern and southern borders.  Nope, not in the shelter this time.

Took Monday off to help Son and DIL move into their first home....Returned to the penalty box with over 80 emails from Monday alone.... put my nose to the grindstone/monitor and got it down to about 5 emails and a few tasks so I should be caught up by the end of the week.

No snow here but it did rain a frog strangler this morning!  I had to drive the memsahib's tiny import in it too!  It's an awful car to drive if it's raining or dark.  This morning it was both.

I opened up the park about 0700 and just after 0730 Allan, the maintenance mechanic, called on the radio and reported a wandering alligator in the picnic area.  I cruised over in my Kubota and discovered a two foot juvenile.  We grabbed a 55 gallon garbage can and coaxed him in with a broom.  We put him in the back of my UTV and took him back to a Cypress dome where I know there is a mama gator.  There are no male gators in the Cypress dome and mama will adopt the little fellow quick enough.  Female gators are programed by nature to instinctively protect any juvenile that gets into their territory.

I drove two boat tours in the pouring rain but the tourist seemed to enjoy it.  I had to work my park service green butt off to find wildlife in the rain but I managed.  Everyone saw gators and everyone saw a manatee but that was about it.  Even the birds were walking.

I got home about an hour ago and I'm starting my second rum and coke.  I'm wearing a festive Hawaiian shirt and my vacation has officially begun!

Not much today, vegged mostly due to the weather. Did get another fruit tree planted yesterday and a few more to go. My seed trays in my fish cleaning porch got nailed by a rat the night before, the little terd dug up and ate the seeds. While I was out there cleaning up the damage the dog had something treed, so I got the urban out and figured it was a nutter. All I could see was a silhouette of head and ears, pulled the trigger and made the connection. It was a medium sized rat. This morning I made my gardening rounds and no more damaged seed trays, I had killed the culprit. Later during the day, I shook a mouse out of the stacked 25gal. nursery pots, the dog took care of that one. His ratting abilities have improved greatly, he lets me know where one is and most of the time he gets to do the deed with pleasure.

Not much it was a very nice day 76°F 30% humidity currently. Clear skies and beautiful out. I mowed the side yard that I have kept forgetting to do. It is a gated off area that was a garden area but hasn't been used as such for a long time now. The gates are too narrow to get the lawn tractor in there so it has to be done with a walk behind. The weeds were 18-20" tall  it was a bit of work.
 My old Honda engine Ryobi mower ran great and handled it well! It use to be self propelled but the gears failed and I gave up looking for new ones. I still like it the way it is because it starts first or second pull every time!

One of the boys stuck his truck in the snow yesterday.  I did a personnel extraction yesterday and we put a team together to extract the remaining assets today.  We set out 0700 hrs with a three man team. 5.5 hrs later we were back at HQ with the mission complete.

Beautiful day today. Not much wind and warm. Suppose to be nasty tomorrow and Friday with wind and rain in the afternoon Friday. Don't care as I will be pet sitting again the whole weekend.

We have a sleight chance of rain tomorrow but the bigger deal is the high temp is dropping. We had a high of 78°F today and tomorrow's forecast is 59°F and Friday 50°F with thunderstorms! We are 1/3 past out average annual rainfall so it would be OK with me to move on to the dry season soon!

Flytrap had a bad night.  Now she won’t go outside or eat.  I’ll try and coax her up again but this ain’t looking good.  Thus far today all I’ve done is deal with my poor old sick dog.  I made myself an omelette for breakfast and even a bit of egg was not enough to tempt her.  She’s had some good days recently and she has lived a very long life (nearly sixteen years).  She’s a big dog too.  Over eighty pounds in her prime.  She’s welcome to stay as long as she wants but if she’s ready to go. . . . . .

Fixed one lawn mower, it needed a battery, the rider needs one as well so that is next on the list. Run into town for zoo food and supplies for the month. Pick up the mail on the way home. Then it's back to chopping the yard back before the next rain. I need to start taking out the rabbits, they are damaging my pear trees. They are eating the bark and lower branches, I just planted these trees 2 weeks ago. Luckily I had some rabbit fence to wrap around the trees.

Just finished installing the snap straps that holds the rear mats in place. WHAT A FU&*88#2#!!! PITA!!!! Toyota had the push in plastic fasteners glud in.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Of course the snap straps I had to replace were the ones in the middle of the back seat.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 This was on the wife's FJ so there's not a lot of room to begin with.

We had a lot of heavy wet snow.  Hard to tell how much as it is compacted by rain.  I think if it was regular fluffy snow it would be 18inches.  Snow blower wont throw this kind of dense stuff.  It’s supposed to be much warmer in a few days and I was going to just  let it melt off.   But the power went out and I was bored so i decided to shovel my driveway and my neighbors driveway.  That took most of the day and It felt great to be shoveling. I’m pretty tired and won’t have to do my regular workout today. House is on generator power now. What fun!

We are getting snow too in sunny California. The little lady needs to go down off the mountain but thinks she might not be able to get back up. Guess who has a 4 wheel drive and is being asked to chauffeur? It is nice to be needed, 😂
