Today was the first day with fishing tackle.  Spent a good 4 hours fishing practicing casting with a work buddy at Lake Allatoona.  Sunday Memsahib wants to be driven to Lake Blue Ridge for fishing and dinner at The Cove restaurant before the 1.5hr drive home.  That's a date night I can't say no to :-)

She ain't kidding about the bulldozer.

As predicted I hung doors, patched, and painted at our rental.  All done inside now except for some last touch up painting.  Now I need to finish pressure washing and repaint all the exterior trim, decks, and railings.

Put a 220 outlet under the outside panel.

Have wanted to use welders at home forever and never got around to it.

From experience at different jobsites, welding can be done with 110v but it’s a pain.

10:45 AM start
I decided to go to the landfill before it rains again, so did EVERYONE else. The line to the pay booth was 2 lanes for a half mile  .  I have never seen it like that before. It was stop and go as each person has to get out and pay to enter. A little over an hour wait to get in. 
Got it done a little after 1:00 PM, my wife had come with so we stopped for lunch on our way home. I washed out the pickup bed, sat and rested a bit. Later on remembered I didn't buy any mower blades so, back to town to buy blades. Got home around sunset.

Finished my punch-out list for the rental house.  I'm ready to have the cleaners in and put it on the market.  The memsahib disagrees.  We argued about the degree to which we should continue to polish this lump of feces.  I contend that it's good enough to rent.  She wants to repaint all the interior doors.  We don't have the trim paint for the doors and it would be a three hour round trip to get some.  IMO the doors are fine as is and we should cut our losses.  But I will undoubtably lose this argument.

Sunday School and Church this morning, had a Shredded Beef Burrito for lunch. Then I put new blades on the lawn tractor and mowed about 1 1/2^? acres. I had not planned on mowing that much but just got carried away with it. LOL

Wow what a difference the new blades made. I didn't scalp it like I do in the summer and mowed a bit higher where grass has come up so to enjoy the green color while we can.

I came in and got cleaned up and ready for tonight's Church service. Now I'm relaxing until time to go.

I took Memsahib to a fancy dancy brunch at IHOP before going fishing with me.  I forgot how much work fun it is to rig tackle, set bait and clear stuck lines for someone else.  I just kept reminding myself you ARE fishing..lol.  Finished our date night afternoon with a Kentucky Mule while waiting on our food at Wicked Wingz, which we brought home since Babygirl is on spring break this week from College.

I took Memsahib to a fancy dancy brunch at IHOP before going fishing with me.  I forgot how much work fun it is to rig tackle, set bait and clear stuck lines for someone else.  I just kept reminding myself you ARE fishing..lol.  Finished our date night afternoon with a Kentucky Mule while waiting on our food at Wicked Wingz, which we brought home since Babygirl is on spring break this week from College.

I took my wife and daughter fishing on lake Lanier several years ago and at the end of the day my wife remarked that "fishing is a LOT of work for you isn't it?"

I was between boat tours today when my 85 year old mother stopped by.  I quickly swapped boats with another captain and took my mom along on the next tour.  She had a great time and I really enjoyed having her along.  I guess it was pretty darn good day!

I would have loved to be on that boat ride sitting right next to your mom, Carter. There is a memory to cherish for the rest of your life. I hope you got pictures.

We continued cleaning up the yard yesterday and will most likely work more on it today. The front yard is a bit different than the back because there are 6 or 7 large pine trees (18"+ in diameter and more than 100' tall). Along with the jungle of un maintained shrubbery, the pine needles and leaves from other tress have been left to pile up year after year, layer on top of layer.
I'm hauling all the leaves and pine needles out to fill in a large low mud hole in my atv trail through the woods.
We're yanking out most all the shrubbery leaving a bottle brush and a couple crepe myrtles that I have been trimming down to around 5' trunks.
It's alot of work but the payoff is great.

Weed wacked the landscaping and blew it out along with yesterday's clippings. Mulched the debris and mowed some around there. Looks much better now.
