Quote from: anti-squirrel on February 18, 2024, 01:24:53 PMWe're spending today mostly recovering from a lot of lifting/moving stuff. Most of my free time has been spent working on this house and moving materials (unassembled cabinets, appliances, etc) to the Quonset Hut. Drywall is finished. We have painting, trim, and assembly of the kitchen and bathroom. Sonja's going to do the shower floor tile while I knock out the kitchen cabinet/countertop/plumbing... hopefully over the next couple of week. The occupancy permit is now in our foreseeable future. We've put in thousands of hours working on the property. But we have good walking trails, far less underbrush, a lot fewer stumps, and less poisonous vegetation. We're moving from a hair under an acre with 1600 square foot of house to 800 square feet and 15 acres- with over 100 yards frontage on the James River. But considering we use less than half the square footage of our current house, we see it as "right sizing" and moving to some place with better "atmosphere" for playing outdoors. Playing as in being to shoot any airgun in almost any direction without concern, shooting our bows anywhere, playing disc golf, or simply running around nekkid if we wanted.A real Quonset hut, and is it gray? I haven’t seen one of those since I was a kid. It appeared to be used as someone’s residence. My husband and I also downsized in house and upsized in land when we moved here. It’s nice being able to shoot on your own land for sure. Though it will probably mean routine outside work after you’re done with the inside work! Good luck with everything.

Flipped my bed mattress tonight and changed the bedding from winter to summer. No big deal to most.. But my Mom was a nurse and Biological Dad was Corpsman in the Navy when I was born.Mom , now 82 had a lifetime career in nursing. I shot her a pic of the "hospital tuck" at a prefect 45 degree angle I did as she taught me... and helped me in Basic Training of my own.Bounced a quarter off the finished product!I got an "Atta Boy" from an old woman who spent her life in medical.. I am gonna sleep good tonight!
Gil.. I used dielectric grease when I snorkled my atv to seal the airbox cover. I've been under water up to my waist with it since and it stayed bone dry in there. It also opens easy to replace the filter. I just wipe it all off and reapply.
It's hard for me to get a good ear pic on myself. The branch dug a pretty deep hole and tore the skin back. It took about 3 hours to get it fixed up. They just cleaned and bonded it. Here is a better/another angle pic of the surface of the damage.
