Our 03 GMC Sierra has sat idle for several months. The battery is bone dead and may not even be good anymore. Tomorrow I plan to open the double gate and jump start it to move in. I'll plug a slow charger into it and let it charge while I bring the Titan in for a much needed cleaning inside and out. Then the GMC will get the cleaning as well.
The weather is supposed to be partly sunny and 70 degrees. Perfect weather to do the job while sipping few cold ones.

 I have a solar trickle charger I keep on my S10 as it sits foe a few weeks at a time, and seems the computer or what not draws the battery down if left sitting.

Exactly, this truck also has a security system that drains on the battery. Once I get it charged up, if it will hold, I'll disconnect the battery if the truck is going to sit.
I remember many years ago I had an old truck that would drain the battery. I never could figure out why so I put a breaker switch on it and would just turn it off at night.

This "Flu" I got is keeping me feeling down and not wanting to do anything. I have a headache, my neck, teeth and ears ache, and I have congestion in my bronchial tubes, I am coughing a lot! I had a fever for two days but at least that's over and gone now. I am looking forward to getting better, hope it is soon. Thankfully I haven't had any stomach issues caused by this bug, other than a loss of appetite. Yesterday all I ate was two pieces of toast and a pot pie.

Best I can say is to stay hydrated. I had it about three weeks ago and I am just getting over it now. Hang in there, get well soon.

The only other time I remember that I had a headache like this for 6 days or more straight was with Covid 19, it feels like it is starting to let up now, but I did think that last Thursday too, then by the end of the day it was bad as ever again. So time will tell...

Thank you John!  She is a funny dog.  Super playful and lovey.  Śhe just met one of the neighbors, two of their dogs and a goat.  She was super excited to see all of them.

Looks like a bit or rottweiler in her. Having had 2 of them, they can be super good fun-loving dogs. It is really hard to give them back up after fostering them. I was never able to do it and adopted both of them.

Both trucks got a much needed bath yesterday. Man, that nasty green pollen just rolled off. I had the trickle charger on the GMC all morning and most of the afternoon and it showed half charged when I disconnected it. I'll check to see if it held before I reconnect it to finish the charge today. When I jumped it with the Titan to move it inside the gate to wash and charge it, the computer put the engine into "reduced power mode" due to low battery. I assume there was sufficient charge to run all the checks. It's done that before with a dead battery but once I put a full charge on it, it reset. I'm probably going to need to buy a new battery.
While we were washing the trucks I looked up ans was reminded of the years of leaves and fallen debris on the roof of the Red Shed. I noticed it earlier in the year but decided to wait until most all of this year's leaves fell.
I climbed up with a shop broom and went to work. The stuff was wet from the recent rains and quite heavy. I had Betty Lou on the ground moving a tarp to catch what I push off. We'll drag that tarp full off unto the woods and dump it today. While up there I could see that I need to do the house and screened deck room too. I did those a couple years ago so they won't be as bad but there are large pines dropping needles on that roof. They build up quick and the wind and rain don't clean them off well.

Made a store run for milk and eggs and a refill on the dog food tote. Betty Lou wanted some brown sugar for some goodies she has planned. I also used the machine in the coffee isle to grind a bag of 8 o'clock coffee to perk consistency for the campfire coffee pot. The guy stocking the shelves marked the bag 50% off for us. That reduced the price to $6. It's a family owned grocer and I think he is one of the sons. They are all very friendly.
Now I need to get outside and clean up from our shooting/campfire/beer drinking escapades from last night. I'm a little slow getting motivated after a large breakfast at Jack's.

  Good Morning! I was up at 6:00 and while definitely still sick I am better than yesterday. I think with the same rate of improvement I probably have three more days to go until all or most of it is over. My immune system is stronger for having it do it's job. All I still have is a cough and slight headache and my ears feel slightly plugged (MUCH less though), but the illness related body, and neck aches, ear ache, sore throat are gone now, so overall I feel much better.


  I plan on more resting but I will do the dishes since I have been sick I have rinsed and let them wait. There's not a lot though mostly utensils, one plate and a couple of bowls. I haven't been eating much and used mostly paper plates.


  I do have to make a run to town to the store for a couple of things one of which is more DayQuil or some Guaifenesin to help cough up and get rid of the rest of the crud, I took the last of what I had at 6:00 AM.

I definitely feel the results of cleaning off the roof of the Red Shed yesterday. My lower back, hips and thighs are really sore. I just came in from cleaning up after last night's adventures and they are beginning to loosen up a bit. It's a bit breezy and brisk out there but the sun is out and shining brightly. Typical Fall weather here in Lower Alabama.

Wonder wife just gave me a haircut.  My brain is already running cooler and I feel light on my feet.   I guess I'll go rake some leaves and maybe do some tree pruning.

IT support for the house.  Got a new computer for my wife and had to transfer data from one computer to the other, and to install most of the programs she uses.  Basically keeping the computers alive (not asleep) while the file transfers were happening.  Adding tweaks to make the computer a little more livable.  Pretty time consuming and boring at the same time...  But once it is done, I won't need to touch things for a long while.

Had to play some trickery to export all the bookmarks and passwords from one browser to another, and then sync the common browsers from computer to computer.  But it worked, so both of us are happy.

Went and picked up my permit to hunt the local mountain bike trail on closed days in December.  Apparently they are overpopulated....
