Worked on the fence at the gate until the rain started. Probably spend the afternoon working in the shop on some small wood working projects.

John do it she'll love that and the memories will last a life time for you both. I used to kayak on a beautiful lake with tall bluffs and waterfalls when it rained and will never forget those times.

Bill I've done the same more than once at my shop that has a rain barrier over the side of it's patio mounted just low enough to catch the top of my scalp. Friend of mine cut his bald head walking under it once too. If I raised it just 1" inch that wouldn't happen anymore but it's more work to fix than I want to tackle so I just try to remember to bend down when walking under it. hehe

Yeah Paul aka Rat Sniper was visiting the other day. He is by far taller than I am. I just knew he was going to do a face plant into one of them.

Threw the tennis ball for Belle til my arm fell off.  Stapled my arm back on and took the memsahib shopping.  Gassed up the truck, got lunch at our favorite taqueria, stopped at the bank, pharmacy (good drugs!), the ship chandlers (good booze), and the grocery store (good eats!).  Got home just as the rain started.

Got up at 5 am and worked on the "honey do" list. The bathroom is scrubbed and very clean. The toilets shine like new as does the sinks and bath/shower, faucets, mirrors, towel rack, walls etc. After that it was off to the kitchen for a repeat performance.
My wife also had a new bouquet of flowers to look at when she got up. No occasion....just because I could.
I spent the late morning and early afternoon (10 am to 1 pm)  running out daughter to a medical exam down in the Twin Cities.
Picked up her meds on the return trip at the local pharmacy here in town.
Dropped her off at her place and went home for a spell then it was off to a local auto repair shop to get snow tires mounted and balanced then installed on my car. Finally got back home around 3 pm. Heated up some great leftovers for my wife's supper. Now I am trying to come up with something for my own supper.

I'm talking about around the eves so you would see you're coming to the low part and need to duck. How would they get to them and why would they want to? I've never had problems with coons or bobcats so......

It's a long corrugated sheet installed on the side of the shop patio as a barrier to prevent rain from blowing onto it's patio where the bottom of the sheet is around 5'9" high. I've had it 20yrs and have only hit my head under it twice so you could say I'm averaging one doink on the head every decade.

I'll be going to the dump in a few minutes.   It's the best thing in town and one of the highpoints of my retired life.   When I get home it'll be leaf raking time again.   Gen-Z ers dream of a life as exciting as mine.

This "Flu" I got is keeping me feeling down and not wanting to do anything. I have a headache, my neck, teeth and ears ache, and I have congestion in my bronchial tubes, I am coughing a lot! I had a fever for two days but at least that's over and gone now. I am looking forward to getting better, hope it is soon. Thankfully I haven't had any stomach issues caused by this bug, other than a loss of appetite. Yesterday all I ate was two pieces of toast and a pot pie.

Today was fun... cleaned the carport area and blew leaves and tulip poplar seeds far FAR away... then tackled the EGR system on my 94 F-150.  Not only was the differential sensor regulator bad, the vacuum diaphragm was stuck.  I replaced the regulator assembly and with the diaphragm now functional, the truck runs better/smoother so hooray. I had to top of the tire pressure in the Tahoe, then repaired the tank selector switch on the F-150.

I replaced the priming bulb and cleaned the carb on my Shindaiwa 22T line trimmer; this linetrimmer is a joy to use with a featherweight commercial engine and one of the lightest solid-shaft drive assemblies... though the clutch is due for replacement, I should be able to get a few dozen hours of use before that's a necessity.

I also found out one of my buddies has a number of older airguns (pumpers and such) including a Silver Streak.  I gave him a tin of .20s just cuz.
