Fixed the hog fence I backed the water trailer into. My mirrors don't give me a very good view past the trailer. Had to install 2 more T posts because I stretched the fence and it needed more support. Man am I sore from pounding the T posts in with a 2lb hammer. Need to get a T post driver to make it just a little easier. Discovered what hog rings are. Had a bag of them in the airgun shed but had no idea what they were.😂 Never dealt with hog fencing and t posts before moving here. Chain link I know about but I'm learning.😁😁
Mutts are the best.Well I piddle pharted in the garden for a bit. Walked the dogs. Cut two ten lb. pork loins into a total of 48 chops and 2 small roasts. Sliced two of those mondo ginormous chicken (?) breasts from Atomic Rooster Farms into about thirty chicken (?) fingers. I'm thawing a baggy of catfish fingerlings, mixing up a batch of my special breading and slicing some mushrooms, and getting ready to make a mess of fried food!

I prefer using a 12ga roll of stainless wire. I cut each tie from it with wire cutters having a little extra length then twist together 3 turns by hand while pulling backward toward me then a final turn with the cutter's grips if needed. I cut the excess length off the wire that made it quick and ez for me to grab and turn tight by hand where only around 1/2" sticks out past the twist when I'm done. Found 2 dead coons that were ran over near my place and a skunk too after the big lightning storm last night so there's 3 less critters I have pesting up my place now!
Random materials collected over the years get repurposed as all sorts of things from airgun parts to shed roofs. On one hand my wife also would love for me to get rid of some of the vast assortment of "junk" but she's also seen me build and fix a lot of things from those junk pieces. Like a few years ago I had a heart attack. When I learned how much a new heart valve cost, well I just dug into my junk pile. I just knew that I could find something in there that I could repurpose into a pretty good heart valve. Don't need one of those fancy-a_ss-doctor-medical-industrial-pharmacutical-complex heart valves.
The hog fence rings were free so I'm going to use them up. I've got 5 acres fenced with hog wire and haven't had any problems so far. Like I said, I'm just learning about hog fencing. Also going to need to learn brick mortar as I have quite a few cap bricks coming loose. If cinder blocks weren't so expensive I'd just pop off the cap blocks and continue building the brick wall the previous owner started. IF my wife gets a decent settlement from getting hit as a pedestrian and knocking her 11 feet then almost running her over we're getting a car port roof over where we park the cars.

Whoever did my fence when them only cared to fully secure on the right side not the left. 5 acres of hog fencing? I envy you! How much did that cost? I couldn't afford to barb wire 1/4 of that let alone hog fence it. You even have hogs there or javelina? Best wishes on your wife's lawsuit and let us know how it turns out.
The fencing was already there when we bought the place. Only reason I had to do anything was I pushed the fence about 2 feet out when I hit it with the water trailer. My mirrors are too short to see if I'm not going straight back.

Would've saved me over a decade of hog problems but a fence like that would cost at least $20K. Dan I know that exact look in the last picture from the neighborhood stray giving me that look too. You'll be seeing that critter every day now. The cat around here drops what's left of a rat, snake or bird at least once a week to show gratitude for my food and affection. Good cat that's been hanging around for about 6yrs now.
If we didn't know better we would think that it was always there. Out of pocket cost = a $13.99 gallon of oops paint from Walmart.
