The city finally got around to us more than a month after the storm that took trees down at the end of our driveway. One of the trees was the one our 20' aluminum gate was attached to. It had been laying in a mangled mess connected to the uprooted root ball of the tree. That happened when they came through and cleared the road of a tree that had fallen across it just after the storm. There were so many trees fallen around our city and it took this long for us to come to the top of the list for cleanup.I had to straighten out the bent up mailbox and replant the post. Now they need to send another crew out to open the culvert under the drive so the ditch water runs through it.The driveway was part of the property that the bar/mancave was on and recently sold. We still have rights to use the driveway because it's the only access to our place but we don't have the right to complain about the damage and slow cleanup. We're just happy they finally got here to clean it up.

This was yesterday. I have just been taking it easy and cool today.
At least you get something for your tax dollars. We get nada! The only way the dirt roads get graded is if I do it. Cops don't patrol and the volunteer fire department isn't even in Coconino county and would take an hour to reach us.

They say pics or it didn't happen. In this pic is the shop manual I bought after I split the cases to install a kick start shaft on one of my S90's I had after I had put it back together without a manual.

When I was in the Honda mc mechanic school we were learning about transmissions. When we got to the hands on portion of the class I did my assignment and then started helping my fellow classmates. Instructors didn't like that so they handed m12 gears and 2 shafts and said put it together. No info on what it was out of or how many speeds it was. 20 min. later I handed it to the instructor completely correctly assembled. Come to find out it was out of a sl100 and was a 5 speed. The 6th gear set was for primary kick starting. If you have a eye for patterns you can put things back together with out a manual. Biggest problem with that is making sure you have the clearances correct. I never have been able to get the shims and spacers in the right place without 1. Timing the cam and the ignition is very simple on that little 90 as long as you follow the manual. Considering it's been over 50 years since I've had anything to do with a 90 I couldn't tell you how it's done anymore.🤔🥴

I didn't take this gear set apart this time, just lifted it out and looked it over. It looks like it is in great condition to me. The oil pump gasket in it was the wrong one not the same size and shape with different oiling hole positions, likely the reason the top end seized up in my opinion. The piston was a .50 overbore and I assume that is when the other work was done too?

Now that's a clean work station right there Dan! Had a big lightning storm roll through last night but it didn't rain unfortunately like it did for people just a couple miles North. Another hot 106 day too.
