Took the dogs and the memsahib on a cruise down the bay til we found a nice little stretch of beach.  We made heaps of fried chicken and slaw for dinner last night so we had a picnic.  We threw the ball for the dogs for a while then I pulled up the mud hook and we motored home.

I got the Daisys hung that Betty Lou wanted in her kitchen and 3 gun racks hung in the spare bedroom. I also hung some pictures down the hallway she wanted. I've got one more gun rack to hang in our bedroom and the rest will go in the screen room.
We got that load from this morning unloaded also. Betty Lou has been busy cleaning up after me... that's what she does. 
We're done for today.. gonna have beef n noodles and watch the race.

Grabbed another load from the bar and brought it to the house. One to go beside the grill, flat top and folding table from the deck. Called and had the water and power cut off.
I remember the first time I was in that bar. It was Killer's Birthday and we were new to the dirt road and were invited. We met lots of locals that evening.... good folks. There was a pool table and they were playing a card game called 'knock'. I believe that was 8 years ago.
Today will mark the last time I enter that bar.

Clean out the old veggies and plant new ones. Clean out places for the fruit trees that I will plant later on. Crank up the chipper and grind up the stuff I trimmed up a few weeks ago and mix it in with dirt for new potting soil for the bigger plant containers. Just piddle around today because of the heat and storms.

Killer's Sister came and got a few things out of the bar. I made it a point to tell her that once I got my last item out of there that any further dealings with that place would be between her and the new owner. My dog ain't drinking from that water dish.
Her son is the young man that bought the property that Betty Lou and I live on. He was here with her and we walked our place and I told him what I planned to do with cutting trees and clearing. He told me I could do whatever I wanted in that matter. He said he would do the same if he lived here.
IT's HOT !!  I won't be moving anything else today. The rest will wait until morning.

After shooting some spoons with my Beeman R7, I mowed my weeds which are sprinkled with some grass.  It was a killer in this heat.  I'll be glad when summer is over.

Dishwasher not draining completely after wash.
Removed hose from air gap and dishwasher.
A bunch of calcium cam out of the hose.
Took hose outside and hooked it up to faucet.
Water runs clear and strong.
Put everything back together and I am running eco wash.
In one hour I will know if I need a new washer.
If I do, that one will be installed by the WATASHI!

I spent some time after work yesterday on a deep dive into my perennial headache Statesman riding mower.  The coil's supply wire had all the starting current going through a single lead.  The larger female spade terminal was rusted gone; as in there was nothing.   

We ended up doing a little weeding in the front gardens after that.  I pulled some random poison ivy that snuck in with the blueberries and our fig tree but it came up easily thanks to all the rain.  It was hot and very humid but our beer was cold and refreshing.

Coughing mist of the night.  Called out sick from work.  Sitting by the fire now.

Cleaned out our 2 window A/C units. Added new air fresheners to the vents. The house instantly went from a stale kinda cool place to and ice cold vanilla ice cream freezer. This needs to be done a couple times a year. This dank humid climate in the back woods of lower Alabama jams them up pretty quickly.
