I'm surprised you don't have a bunch of broken branches from all that snow. Just in half of the 5 acers that is fenced I had a bunch of broken branches and all we had was a couple of 1 foot of snow days.

We had a super low come in January of 1977 and dump 3 inches in Land O' Lakes, Florida north of Tampa. They didn't even close the schools. There was enough snow to make snowmen and those were all over the place that day. It stayed on the ground until 2 p.m. in the afternoon. I have seen light dusting and ice here but nothing like that on that day. Miami got a dusting and that was a bone chilling cold for those folks down there.

It was 2013 Bill, I had to drive to work in 4wd that day. It wasn't snow it was ice around here and these dummies around can't even drive in a thunderstorm. My office was at the base of one the major bridges in the county and people were sliding down it side ways. Called the SO to come close the bridge until condition got better, the icing didn't stop until 4 p.m. that afternoon. I didn't stay at work with the condition getting worse by the minute. I have been through my fair share of ice storms living in South Carolina and was not about stick around for that party.

Yep, I remember now Kris..
It was funny, we moved here from Ohio to get away from snow and it snowed the very first winter. We wondered what we stepped into. I couldn't believe, they rolled up the sidewalks. Folks were standing outside thinking the world was coming to an end.

Yeah, now a days any kind of severe weather occurs around here the whole place shuts down except for hurricanes, then every nut job on the planet shows up for that.

 Well my prediction came true,, a year and 1/2 ago I informed my employer to start looking for a new orchard sprayer, at the one we have ben running is old and antiquated, no parts available and the replacement part to make the fixes are also obsolete.
 So they were lucky with some last minute shopping to find a new one that may be a better fit for the orchard 21,000.00 , and we may have it by this upcoming Tuesday.
 Another orchard nearby, had bought a new rig, and was having issues with that, or we could of borrowed their old rig, but they need to run their old rig, ultill tech support gets their new rig, running, hope I have better luck getting our new spray rig set up in a hurry next week LOL

It sure is Kris, especially for April.
The average for this time of year is the low 40's to mid 50's.

The prediction for Sunday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers before 8pm, then a chance of snow showers.  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Blustery, with a north northwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Monday night it is supposed to drop to around 25 then slowly warm up to the 50's next week.

About 3/4 of Minnesota flows into the Mississippi River the rest flows into Lake Winnipeg Canada or Lake Superior.
Sooner or later there is going to be a lot of this water hitting Lousiana ...ie. New Orleans.

We can also expect heavy rain fall before July too.

This grill was given to me so I spent around $100 on a new temp gauge, grinding the rust crust off, spraying anti rust primer then painting it with very high temp VHT 2000 degree header paint. Now it looks so much better than before and was worth putting all that time and labor into it.

Up at 0630, rolled out at 0745.  Cooked pancakes and bacon for the crew (family) outside on the griddle.  Sipped cappuccino afterwards in the sun with Mrs. P.  Off she went to teach school, I wandered until I decided to clean up that one side of the house (everyone has one) that NEVER gets seen.  I raked and trimmed tree limbs back and raked some of the ground flat.  Still need to pick up the piles and then move some woodchips in to cover the dirt.  I'm planning on sprucing that side up and adding a small lean-to storage area against the house for seasonal outdoor furniture storage.  Now that I have the gazebo built, we will see that side of the house when sitting in it so it needs to be cleaned up and organized. 

My alarm went off at 1115 so I could wrap up my work and go meet pops to play pool.  Played pool until 1400 then headed into work where I am until 2300 tonight.  I’ll head home for some sleep then report back to work @ 0700 Saturday for a 16 hour shift for my last one of the week.

Spring is well advanced here.  I installed a drip feed irritation system to water 40 or so tomatoes.   Then I built three more potato growing boxes and put up the trellis for four rows of cucumbers.  I've still got to trellis the peas and some more tomatoes but that can wait until tomorrow.  I moved sprinklers frequently but as we extend the the drip hose I hope to do less of that.

Big weather and temperature swings this time of year for Minnesota

Yesterday it reached 84 F.
This morning the high was 52 F with rain. Now the temps are dropping. It will be down to 33 F by tonight.

Here is the revised forecast for Sunday. Before the forecast was for a rain/snow mix, now it is for all snow.

Sunday Snow.
High near 37 F. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Sunday night low of 28 F & blustery with a north northwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

It looks like Wisconsin will get the worst of the snow.
They have a winter storm watch posted, we don't.
