And anyway, "with age comes wisdom!

I'll be turning 68 this Summer.
 My Dad and some of my Uncles never made it past 60.

We use our locked gate to welcome visitors.... they have to call and let us know they are coming. If they don't have the number to call... don't come...   
If they insist... the dogs will let us know.

I’m so antisocial that we just plain don’t have visitors!  The rare delivery gets left by the mailbox up at the road.  Last time anyone visited was four or five years back if I recall.  I cultivate the image of an amiable but dangerously unstable and possibly violent crank amongst the neighbors who will spread the word to anyone who gets inquisitive.  I’ve casually mentioned punji pits, tiger traps, fougasse, razor ribbon, beaten zones, and claymores at the home owner association meetings.  They made me take down my sign that said “Road is mined beyond this point” in five languages.

We have shot up targets hanging everywhere... many that can be seen from the road. The old signs from back in the day when they held turkey shoots here are still at the end of the road. And Killer left a standing reputation here... I don't foresee much trouble.   
 It just has the look of a place you wouldn't want to climb a fence and walk up on unannounced or uninvited... Home Sweet Home.

If it ever does become a problem I'll just crank up the banjo music in the bar.

Hauled another 1000 gallons of water up then went down to Prescott to the MVD to renew my DL. Didn't have to until next Wednesday but all the rain we're suppose to get between now and Wednesday I'll be lucky if I can make it out. That even wouldn't have been a problem but my wife will be pet sitting all next week and if I can't make it back home there won't be any body to take care of our dogs. Both tanks are full which means I have 3100 gallons of potable water and still have 300 gallons in the water trailer.

Hauled another 1000 gallons of water up then went down to Prescott to the MVD to renew my DL. Didn't have to until next Wednesday but all the rain we're suppose to get between now and Wednesday I'll be lucky if I can make it out. That even wouldn't have been a problem but my wife will be pet sitting all next week and if I can't make it back home there won't be any body to take care of our dogs. Both tanks are full which means I have 3100 gallons of potable water and still have 300 gallons in the water trailer.

How long does that amount of water last you? I know I will drain a 40 gallon hot water tank a day just taking a shower well because I have city water.

I take what I think is a 5-7 gallon shower. Wet down, turn off the water, soap up then turn turn back on the water. Turn off water, brush teeth turn water back on and rinse brush and mouth. Wet head and scrub hair rinse. Turn off water and dry off. I have a valve right behind the shower head which makes it a lot easier. We usually use about 1000 gallons of water a month depending on how much we use the washer. For watering the garden we've got 3200 gallons of rain catchment. When we first moved up here we were paying $120 for delivery of 2000 gallons of water when we could get them to show up. We completely ran out 1 time and that's when we got a tank for my little ranger. It was only 125 gallons so ever time I'd go into get the mail I'd get a load of water. Now I usually make 1 run into get a load with my 1000 gallon trailer. We've bought a new tundra in 2021 to pull it.

I had to shower like that in certain places in Afghanistan and Iraq. Makes you very conscious of how much water you use when you run out mid scrub because some other jerk let it run.

$319 later we got the bulk store run done. The shelves, fridge and freezer are full again until next month. We just have to pick up the other items we get locally.

Went to the Dr this morning for some issues I have been having with my gut. Last 3 months been feeling like trash and can tell at work when guys I out pace or keep pace with are now running circles around me. I decided ok time to see the Dr. so got a new family dr today, haven't been to one in at least 5 years. We kicked off this venture and seeing why I feel so sick. I have lost a bunch of weight and lack energy along with my apatite has tanked coupled with I have had to cut a bunch of stuff out of my diet so I don't upset my stomach.

I am expecting the worst with an ulcer but hoping it isn't that bad and something else that is more easily treated. What a real smack in the face. I will be waiting on an appt with a GI specialist soon.

You don't take probiotics? If not start asap. I take 120 billion strength from 35 strains. Changed my life vs beforehand where I lost the gut problems and was able to gain strength.

IGF1 will also help bigtime with recovery and strength gain plus it also kills toxins. Before taking it I was sore for 3 days after chain sawing a big tree. Same sized job next year after taking IGF1 I was able to easily put socks on the next morning and get back to yard work unlike before where it took 3 days for me to be able to do it.

Get both if you're not on them already. It's worth the $ to get your life back.

Hang in there Matt.  Hope it's an easy remedy for ya.  Try to get plenty of rest/sleep to help your body heal itself.  I'm sure the Doc will get you pointed in the right direction

I had my ulcer when I was 28.  Don’t sweat it!  Modern medicine has come a long way and ulcers are treatable.
I sincerely hope it’s nothing worse.  Good luck, take it easy, and listen to the nurses.  They know a lot more than doctors do!
