We bought a new big screen so I decided to get out the sound bar and hook it up. The TV is mounted on the wall and the sound bar was laying on a cedar trunk under it.
I went to the Red She and cut a couple angle blocks out of a piece of 1 x 3 cedar I had and drilled them for screw holes. I drilled a couple holes in the paneling under the TV, put plastic molly ankers in them and screwed the angle blocks to the wall to hold the sound bar.
Now she don't need to "rearrange the living room" to get something out of the trunk.   
Funny thing is... it wasn't an issue before when all her stuff had to be moved to get in it.

Work some woodworking, get the BRDs installed on the crab traps, new law goes into effect March 1, 2023. Clean up fishing stuff in the truck and repack everything. Prune another citrus tree and clean places to plant the other fruit trees. Just taking it easy after yesterday's flare episode.

Cleared 9" of snow from driveways, sidewalk, and decks. Now waiting for plows to go through so I can clear the end of the driveway. Slush underneath the snow which will freeze tonight. Kids may have a 3rd day of no school.

I mulched leaves and mowed our yard today.  Yes, you heard right, I mowed our yard on 23 February 2023 AD.  Tomorrow,  weather permitting and Lord willin', I will shoot some pellets.

No but they do make good leaf blowers, that is how I test them out in the fall

Mowing season is rapidly approaching here. 80* average weather for the next 10 days or so. Low chance of rain.. 40% tops next week.

I mowed on the 24th even though growth was not too high just to take advantage of the opportunity of a almost lawn look, and knowing we had a wet 10 day forecast I wanted to go in with it short. We do have a surprising amount of real grass in patches this winter. I think it is from birds replanting seed. I really don't know where it came from. It looks like thin bladed winter rye grass to me.
  These two hills are mostly weeds though.

I intend to get my mower ready this weekend or next. My grass is turning green, but not ready to mow just yet. I need to change the oil & filter, air filter, etc. Check all bolts for tightness, I have a couple bolts through the deck that hold the belt covers that I know need tightening. I’m going to finally get my lights mounted and I may need to charge or change out the battery.

I've been brushing snow off my wife's FJ cruiser and shoveling snow off the back porch. She has a eye appointment down in Chino valley. She's pretty sure she has a cataract.

Used a roof rack to remove the snow from the garage roof.

We are getting a break from the precipitation for a few hours today. Here is the last pic I just took. I drove towards it as far as I could 2.2 miles and it was still about 1 mile away at the end of the road. Yesterday it was a mile or more closer to us on the lower foothills.

yesterday afternoon i had yearning for some alone time, so i set sail to find a quiet place to drop the hook and read.  i spent the late afternoon and night on the South River.  i shared a small cove with some pelicans and cormorants, until about 9pm when the USMC helicopters came out for maneuvers.  it was a perfect night with just enough breeze to keep the cabin a cool 64*.  at 0630 this morning i woke, prepared a breakfast of sausage, eggs, and coffee and started my sail home.  i was out about an hour when a gust hit and buried the starboard rail.  i heard items crashing about down below and i quickly turned up and reduced the genoa.  after another 30 minutes of fighting the strong wind, i figured i needed at least 8 tacks and 9 hours to return home and i had a bachelor party to attend at 5, so i doused the sails and fired up the iron wind.  after crashing through 3' high seas for 2 1/2 hours i was back at the slip.  with the wind still pounding from the NW i couldn't bring her into the slip alone.  i moved her to a long dock and tied up along side.  the wind is finally down to 10mph and i'll be leaving soon to put her away properly.  afterward a shower and short nap before i'm off to the party!

I just raked the snow off of the north facing roof on the house. Of course the snow landed on the back porch so I had to shovel it off it again.😡😡🤬 Man am I wore out!! Not really worried about the south facing roof as it will melt from the sun. The north side doesn't get very much yet.
