So sorry for your loss, Gil. You’ll be in my prayers, as well as for your friend’s family.
An experienced husband knows when to say "yes my love"
I get tired just reading about what you are doing.
Got out early. Got 2 more security cameras placed and connected. 1 to go. I need another 100' cable. Blew leaves with the 0 turn... easier than raking. Jacked one of the entry gates up so it don't drag the ground when opening and closing.Tossed back a couple beers then set the cans out to 60yds and punched holes in them with the .25 Hatsan 1KV.Then I shot 'Buc in Black' some.
Put on the Grader/Planer (GP) on the back of the Tractor.Ran the road a few time to take out the bumps and dips.Had a pile of dirt I had cut down a while back with the front bucket but was still rough, took the GP and ran over that too; did what it was suppose to do... level dirt, but it is looks OK for now.I tried something I didn't think was going to work with the GP, I ran it over a patch of brush, seems to be the only one growing in this hot summer we had. I didn't expect it to do anything but I gave it a try and to my surprise with the blades set a little higher than when grading, I ran over the area and... yes it pulled out all of the brush, well most of it. What a surprise to see the brush gone when I turned to check things out.I proceeded to run the GP over the remaining brush and tried it on another area, worked well enough so I didn't need to remount the Brush Hog.On to the main road in front of my property... it really get screwed up with rain and clay base, a muck hole for sure, then it dries. Put the Rippers down and tore-up the road, one person went by and asked if I knew what I was doing... I responded that I had no idea, it was the first time I used my Planer to rip up a road; she drove off looking perturbed. She did say I was going to screw thing up worse than they were. The road turned out well enough, no ruts, not bumps, yes not the best job that could have been done but no one else was doing anything and I was tired of going over the ruts and bumps and was the only one will to do something.Oh ya, it was the first time I have ever used the Rippers on anything, learned form it and now am using them to tear up my driveway in a rough point and an area of my lower road that has always given me trouble... great to learn new things.I might try the Rippers out on my neighbors driveway without asking him... that should get the blood flowing. Have a GREAT Day !
