Got all 13 - 15 acres done in just over 3 hours. It was lower and dryer than the two times before. I just may be able to skip a week next time. The neighbor does like to keep her grass low. She says she can see the snakes better.

That's one fast mower. I can cut 5 acres in 3.25 hours and I thought that was fast.

and that was with a 46" deck.. I was zipping right along.

I picked up 10 gallons of boat gas Friday.  Yesterday I came home to the memsahib happily mowing her way through the knee deep swamp that constitutes our "Yard".  She had a huge grin on her face and she was launching salvoes of golfballs in all directions.  Now the dogs won't come out from under the porch.  I hauled off a lot of the old appliances so it's not as much fun as it used to be but she was hitting my old van about 3 out of five shots.  She said some fellow from the county came by and told her we had to clean the place up.  So she fired up the mower.  Said he didn't seem inclined to hang around after she hit that first patch of golfballs.

Installed a new rain gauge to handle the great floods, it handles up to 12". Now I am sitting here watching it rain and filling it up. Insect fogger died yesterday, so a new is on the way. It will be here on Wednesday. The mosquitoes have been unmerciful this summer, they are really bad during the day, I mean in the middle of the day.

Apparently I also shot a rock at the decorative window on one side of my front door. The girls noticed it’s all spider webbed. It looks like the strike was about a foot up from the bottom.

Avatar about mowing 15 acres in 3 hours that's one smooth yard you have because there's no way I can mow 3 acres in 5hrs due to hog/mole/flood damage. I have to go slow as my mower has no spring seat or suspension and even then the ride is bone jarring and can slip a disc in my back. I can't roll the yard smooth because I have underground popup sprinklers. Filling the holes in is a waste of time as the hogs/moles/floods just tear it all up again. I have big tree roots to mow over and around also.

Attended the last Demo Derby of the year for me in Stockville, Ne. It started at 6PM, 3 hours later they were still knockin' the snot out of each other when I went home. The smoke was so thick this weekend from the forrest fires in the Rockies just west of me it was like fog, only all day long. Our nation is on fire folks, in more ways than one.

I was talking to Miss Holly and she told me that her total property is 8 acres and about half of it is wooded. Then there was about 1 quarter acre I couldn't now because it was too wet. We have 5 acres and about half of that is wooded. So, in reality, I mowed about 6.5 acres. Most all of it is wide open and flat. Also, I just mowed last Sunday so the grass was short enough that I could run wide open.

Bill that's still hauling grASS with a 46" deck.  6.5 acre in 3 hr is definitely clipping right along.
 I figured there might have been a mis-calculation but you never know. You could have a nitrous injector on your mower.

No BRAKES on zero turn needed, just pull back.

I finished replacing the headlight assemblies,  turn signal / daylight-running-light assemblies and fog light assemblies on my '03 GMC Sierra. The originals had hazed over beyond belief.

Today was not "fun".
At 1:00am my dog Zoey jumped off the bed whimpering... Odd because she is a sleeper.
After several times of telling here to shut up and lay down.. at 2:15am I figured out it wasn't going to end so I got up, she ran down the stairs, through the family room and took her out the garage to her lead ... again Very odd.
 She was out on the lead, for 10 minutes then wanted in.
But then when we went to the bedroom she back peddled and ran back down stairs.
"Well then fine... sleep down here" and I closed the family room door and went back to bed.

MISTAKE!

 When I woke up at 5:30 I found her cowering under the computer desk.
A 65 pound dog with a case of the "Scowers"... yep, she was so pitiful I could not scold her... Simply grabbed her harness and said "out!".
 So at 5:45am, with no sleep, I was cleaning the carpet and kicking myself for not seeing the signs.

Tonight when I got home from work, she was still lethargic or remorseful... so we split a wheel of sharp Cheddar Cheese and a tube of Ritz Crackers.

She perked right up so let's see how it goes.

Well. I did buy a 3.8 V-6 Buick Aluminium block Super Charged engine and transmission today.
That's for the dream car.
Dream car is a '69 to '71 Opel GT with that engine and lots of custom work.

I let my Opel GT dream rust away in the woods, I did manage to get my $ back out of it by selling it for parts though.
 I also had a 1974 Opel Manta with fuel injection with Manta Part performance parts, and 4 pt roll cage and harness, car was originally raced at Road America June sprints for a few seasons, them put back to street legal for road rally, before I took ownership, fun cars for sure! Had many V8s in the dust

I decided to waterproof the Wine Barrel that are used in the Patio Counter.
Pulled them from the Counter, spun them on edge to a piece of plywood off the patio and cleaned them up.
Poured the Sealer/Stain from the Can and found out the color is too dark.

Good thing I only did the bottoms.

Heading to Lowes to get a Clear Sealer, at least I found out I want a Clear Sealer, not a stain.

A guy that used to cut my yard had one and was always having to fix it. Your son had better luck with his? Really wish I had the money to get a mower with a suspension and spring seat. That 3 acres of jerking and bouncing around like today just wears me out. There are only a few smooth sections I can haul grass at full speed. Wish the whole yard was that way.
