Watching in shock.

There was a active shooter in my Province. Was a dentist, and posed as a police officer. 1 Officer is confirmed dead ( thru a police friend ) and multiple other personal were injured, but won't say if they passed away.. SAD day for Nova Scotia.

Just got power back after 17 hours without due to storms. During the outage we went for a ride checking out the damage, picked up downed limbs and went fishing. I caught a blue gill and an 8 inch bass. Betty Lou caught a nice 1lb. bass. Got back and cleaned up the 4 wheelers. Now we are packing up the RV for a 3 day adventure at the ATV park.
We went to this place (Heart of Dixie Trail Rides) last week for the first time and really enjoyed it. We had to cut that trip short due to the storms on Easter Sunday. It should be good and sloppy in spots due to the storms that came through last night. The weather promises to be sunny in the mid to upper 70's..... perfect for fishing and riding during the day and sitting around the campfire at night.
We will take a couple airguns and paintballs for targets..... nothing fancy, just a couple Daisy pumpers and the P17's.

Went and bought some flowers for the house and got those planted.  Planted some herbs.  Set up the badminton net.  Going to go shoot some air rifles soon.

Drove to Flagstaff AZ to the UPS hub to pickup the chainsaw my wife ordered. The people she bought it from sent it UPS to our PO Box. UPS doesn't deliver to PO boxes so have no idea why they would do that.😋 It ended up being a 100 mile round trip. Grrrr!!! 😬 There wasn't very many pov's on the interstate just lots and lots of trucks.

Order some moringa seeds to plant in the yard. Quick growing tree that is edible and noninvasive. Not only I can eat it but it will feed the rest of the zoo as well. Every part of it is edible. Got the boat moved to its new location, all I have to do now is fill it up with dirt and get the veggies started. Working from home has been a big help for me, I am able to get things fixed and cleaned up.

Fixed some fencing where hogs damaged it running away from me last night. Minimal damage to the yard that took maybe 5 minutes to fix since I got on them soon as they arrived thanks to the trailcams alerting me. No blood trail so I must have missed the running shot at 70yds but I scared them away at least. None are in the trap yet but it's likely just a matter of when. Picked up a few fallen limbs then weed wacked some and blew off the clippings. Got much needed medicine, work gloves, groceries, gas for the mower and some diesel.

I get that but the fish was so clean and pretty... and the smile it brought to her face..... heck, it could have been a minnow. It cleared surface 3 times on the way in.

Yard work; replaced a switch in a lamp we've had for decades; wash, dried, folded 3 loads of clothes. My wife took off for our other house for a few days, I'm on my own. I've been on a good catfish bite. Clean, fillet, freeze catfish, make a few phone calls to local clergy. They get the 10lb sacks of frozen catfish meat to those who need it. I worked with a knife for a livin' for decades, cleaning fish is almost therapy for me. win-win

Reinstalled Linux Tricia 19.3 on my laptop. Evidently something I had installed slow it down to the point that it became very annoying to me. This has been my first experience with Linux as my sole OS and I didn't know what I did to cause it to run so slow or how to fix it.
I also stopped using an ad blocker. All that did was add an ad to the top of each page and a smaller one at the bottom. I can live with that.

Yesterday was work and recovery from a lot of canoeing Sunday.  Then a trip to Home Deport after work to get some small pieces of plywood to make a new folding chair-mat.  My ancient plastic one is broken in a couple spots and I don't like tearing stuff up when I'm renting.  Today- more work- our company is turning on 2FA/MFA (multi-factor authentication) for all employees so that's a comfort knowing mgmt. is taking security seriously... Though I may cut out early to go help a friend with some stuff.  She's going through the same scenario (divorce) and her ex-to-be is being difficult and reneging on some things.

Went back to work.  Got there before dawn and took the little Kubota RTV and drove around the perimeter of the park.  Plenty of birds, snakes, and deer.  I parked on a little rise near an old sand quarry that has become a pond.  I watched the sunrise over the salt marsh and the flatwoods.  Rags of mist drifted through the ranks of pines and across the wire grass prairie.  Bass and blue gill swirled and popped, feeding on some insect hatch along the margin of the pond.  A couple of does watched me nervously, unaccustomed to seeing me for a month.  This is why I love being a park ranger.  My fifteen minutes of solitude before we open the gates.

Me and my grandson road our motorcycles to Idaho. A nice 5 State trip. Actually it was the last 2 days we rode from southern California to st. George Utah and then spent a few hours in a motel and rode the rest of the way to Idaho. We left my house at 8:45 p.m. on Monday

Called the AZ MVD about 6 or 7 times to finally get put on hold for around 5 min. Finally got to talk to someone to make an appointment to get my AZ DL along with getting my truck and 625 KTM registered here also. The covid 19 has really caused a huge back up at the MVD. You have to have an appointment to get anything done. No walk-ins but you have to call to get an appointment so of course the phone system was screwed up. LoL

The Motor Vehicle Department here has a good system going.  (Of course, no one goes inside.)  There is a "Drive Thru" with two lanes.  You drive up to the window, place your order, pay the fees, give them your phone number, and go around the building to the front door.  When your New Plate, Renewal, Title Transfer, etc. is ready, you get a telephone call:  Sir, please come to the door and pick up your . . . .  Takes about 15 minutes in line and another ten minutes waiting for paperwork to be processed.  Gave my old pickup truck to my son last month.
