I slept late.  Then I piddle farted around the yard for a while.  Then I worked on restoring a cheap old revolver my FIL gave me.  Now I'm gonna build a fire in my backyard fire pit and sit and smoke.

Bunch of high winds knocked down a ton of limbs and a few trees so spent the day chainsawing everything and hauling it to burn piles then I burned one of them. I was fussing and cussing about having to do it until I realized a lot of guys in wheelchairs would love to be able to walk around cutting trees and lifting heavy pieces into the trailer so I shut my yapper and did my work grateful for my ability to do so.

I had a dead tree take out 2 others while I was telecommuting.  Between the wind and rain, I'm surprised more didn't fall.  Anyway, the three that did fall missed the Volvo by a few feet, so hooray.

I broke out my axe (sadly not my Kelley Perfect since it currently has no handle) and the timber saw.  An hour later I had a new pile of brush and a buncha new logs.  The dead tree is a pine- ~ 16" diameter at the base but only about 25 feet tall with no branches; it broke into several sections so I just dragged the pieces out of the way.  The other two were smaller and taller red gum with bad root systems- not worth breaking out the chainsaw or even my Sawzall and a pruning blade.  Well, at least it means less gumballs.

Replaced a temporary patch with a permanent aluminum patch on the roof of the RV where a tree limb had fallen on it before we bought it.

Attempting make a grocery run for me and the zoo. I am curious to see what is left of on the shelves around here. I feel like I am in a Mad Max movie.

So far I have had 2 cups of coffee and sat in the front listening to birds, feeling a cool breeze and the warm sun on my skin.  Looking forward to just relaxing today.  Back to work and more OT starting tomorrow.

For luring and shootibg rats.  I'm putting it together with a motion sensor that will alert me, and turn on an overhead red led for illumination.

Well noticed a FORSALE sign on the neighbors house. So I'm going have to re frame from shooting outside till I figure out the type of people that going to buy the house.  Previous sold bird feeders, so had alot of city slickers on Sunday drives that would get offended. The ones that replaced it wasn't home nor cared. But not sure what we may get now.

Whenever you see prospective buyers, strike up a conversation and allude to “that unfortunate tragedy years ago.” Be somber, and unwilling to talk further on the subject.

Well home inspectors were over yesterday. And a guy in a Smart car was next door. Smart cars in the country = city slickers. Because they canceled posting season. I live close to the Airforce Base, and around April. People get posted from other bases, so people buy/sell houses.

On my way to do some Coyote hunting at the Goat Ranch (my squirrel hunting permission.)  Pictures later if I am successful.  A cold morning with no wind might mean success.  <--- Maybe?

Yesterday after work I went over to The Wife's house, cut the grass, then cut both neighbors' grass.  Broke out the line trimmer and walked the fence line, then came home and deep-cleaned. 

I keep scratching my head why more folks don't use 20-Mule Team Borax for cleaning.  It handles just about everything.  Tried getting The Wife into using it 13 years ago...    She'd rather buy all the expensive stuff

Working.... fortunately. This place looks like a ghost town. All the lights are off and I'm unloading trucks with the led lights on the forklift. The robots on the production lines look like creatures in the shadows. Kinda eirie. It's dead silent except for every now and then a machine will beep or the wind will blow a piece of metal or something outside.
3 trucks down and one to go today. 4 more tomorrow and one Friday. After that I will be off until at least May 4th. Limited work from then until the end of June and then another month shutdown.... at least that is the current plan. It has changed a few times in the recent weeks.
The good thing is... my pay will not be affected drastically... unlike so many others.

My old knees are sore from climbing on and off of it.
They just postponed the last truck until tomorrow. I will have 5 trucks tomorrow instead of 4. Evidently there is some sort of delay at the port in Mobile. So now Betty Lou and I will run to Troy for some needed supplies.

Been there, done that, I have operated forklifts for 16 hours straight in the past for hurricane relief. I got to where I driving the darn thing in my sleep. My knees, back, and neck quit hurting after the 3rd day of it, I was comfortably numb by then.
