Spent a bunch of time trying to kick start my old 1983 XR500R. It's been sitting for a few months because of the move and boy was she cranky! Who needs a stair stepper when you've got a 500 with a high comp piston? It sure had me whizzing for air!! Finally got her started and did a little ripping around the property including going about a 1/2 mile down a trail that starts right around the corner from my front gate. Then I got nervous as I didn't have MC boots or helmet on and the bike was running a little strange. If I would've crashed I wouldn't have been found until I was just bones. Neighbor's alltimers wife wondered away from their house and wasn't found until 2 weeks later dead in a ditch. I'm living 2200' higher than I was and I think the bike was just plain running too rich. Also rebuilt the water pump in my 2003 KTM625 SXC and willbe resealing the rocker box tomorrow then on to rebuilding the FCR carb.
Well noticed a FORSALE sign on the neighbors house. So I'm going have to re frame from shooting outside till I figure out the type of people that going to buy the house. Previous sold bird feeders, so had alot of city slickers on Sunday drives that would get offended. The ones that replaced it wasn't home nor cared. But not sure what we may get now.
Went canoeing- first time ever- with a marvelous friend I very recently made.
Went out for a 5 mile bike ride -- against the wind all the time. Anything to get out of the house. This shutdown of everything is driving me nuts!
