I am surprised that big brother OSHA has not lit somebody up for that. That should be annual update and training. Yes, the paper work is insane. That will keep you out of the pool hall for a day or two.

Up until last year we were less than 100 employee's so " big brother OSHA" paid us no never mind... but now we have to step up.
ISO audit in May.
I came from companies with over 400 employee's so I "knew" what was coming.

Back in the mid 70's when I got out of school I started in the Machinery Company where my Dad worked.
Lasted 7 1/2 years before manufacturing everywhere took a downturn,and the layoffs came.

Anyway, with 3 shifts we had about 700 employees.
We would get tipped off about a week in advance when OSHA was coming...
You never saw so much scurrying around, cleaning, picking up electrical cords,putting guards back on the machines.
Then after the "inspection" everything would go back to "our" normal.

Oh,today I signed up with the USPS, so I could make a mailing label for an airgun scope.

12 hours into a 16 hr shift. What a way to start the work week! Ha ha! More OT to come. I’m VERY thankful to be working during all of this and they just keep throwing money at me!!!

Halfway through the last week of a four week vacation. Haven't shaved in a while. Taking it nice and easy. Gonna have to go back to "work" next week. The park is closed and I am still on "light duty" waiting for rotator cuff surgery so there won't be much for me to do. Actually starting to get a little bored "sheltering in place". Guess I'll go fishing tomorrow.

I have much respect for her. Tough as they come. You'd never know she was mauled by a grizzly found still alive after 10 days of torment with a broken skull, hip ect. Tough and capable too!

Hogs got thru my fence in a couple places so 3 new posts later I put a stop to that. No significant yard damage thankfully so I must have unknowingly spooked em right after they arrived. Got the yard mowed and burned the other pile of limbs. Almost ran over 7 hogs tonight but honked while slamming on the brakes and they promptly de-arsed the road.

Found a $45 mower on Craigslist; side-eject and probably the sorriest running mower I've owned. I think either the governor spring is too light or something is amiss with the carb- it sounds like a Harley with a couple over-gapped sparkplugs and the wrong jets. Not overly concerned- next HFT sale I'll pick up an engine. I don't ever use mowers for cutting grass- this one will be a "mulch in place" for shredding leaves and twigs. The windstorm a few days ago took some trees down so now the mess is cleaned. I've also "reclaimed" some bare ground on the side yard. I doubt I'll be here long enough to convert it to grass given the soil quality, but eradicating creeper, sumac, and thorny stuff is a guilty pleasure, plus launching gumballs makes me laugh.

I have a friend coming over later and we'll figure out plans for tomorrow while we're doing some gardening and traipsing in the mud. Actually, I may make her a few bird feeders if it clears up. Tomorrow, we might go canoeing, depending on the tides. Airguns are getting a break this weekend, though technically I pumped up the Leshiy.

I enjoy watching Life Below Zero when I'm on the road for work. Read about Sue Aikens and holy cow, that lady makes nails and rebar look like paper mache!

Working on a raised garden bed, I have an old jon boat that will make the bed. Cleaned out the seats and live well, removed all the electrical things and wiring. Clearing out a spot for its new home. I bought the boat in 1986 and hated to see it go to the scrap yard, just to many memories with it. It has always given me pleasure and food for the freezer and it still can in a different way.

You go Kris. We recycle/repurpose everything we can. Our vermiculture bed for raising earth worms is made from an old boat and our herb garden grows in old bath tubs that had been cattle water troths before we got them.

The saddle plates on my mini lathe were loose so I mustered up the courage to take it apart and smooth the ways and the carriage. Got it reassembled a few minutes ago and it moves nicely now with no play. It will be raining all day tomorrow so I'll probably be making some chips.

Finally got my carb on my 03 KTM 625 cleaned out. The accelerator pump passage way was plugged solid. Used a piece of copper wire and was able to get the nozzle in the carb bore cleaned out. Then messed up and sprayed some brake cleaner into the passage of of the accelerator pump which squirted it right into my eyes. Called myself a few choice names for being so dumb all the while getting my eyes cleared out. Later I installed the carb back on the bike, reassembled the rest of the bike and proceeded to start it. Now you have to understand that this is the first time I've had it running. I've been fighting with the carb for the last 3 weeks. Before I got the bike it had been sitting for a couple of years with gas in it.

Purchased a new refurbish Gaming PC. Its something I wanted to get for awhile.. I watch alot of Let's Play on Youtube and there was a game for PS4 that my wife and I played. But it hasn't updated in 2 years, and the PC version is light years ahead.

Not much yard work I can do. I don't have any lumber to finish project. My mother is very susceptible of getting sick, so not forcing my step father to help me, and go around sourcing out the stuff I need. Been very windy to shoot outside, and there been house viewings next door.

So been walking the dogs, catching up on shows, and well cleaning.

Put a Dynojet kit it the blue VTX1300, but it needs some more tuning and or carb cleaning though. I had done a quick clean on it a week and a half ago but didn't dip it, that short cut did work, LOL. It got too cool out and some rain started so I didn't finish it. I am showing my grandson how it's done. By next week we are suppose to get in the upper 80's mid week and 90 on Saturday.
Today the high was about 60 but then clouds rolled in wind and sprinkles.

Tired of spending hours the past two days repairing hog damage so I baited the corral trap and placed a trailcam there to notify me when they get caught. I hope to catch every last one of those suckers and shoot em in the face so they'll never suffer me again. I have enough work piled up on me without them making me have to set that aside to fix their damage as if the two recent floods and tornado didn't add enough already. Killing and eating the enemy is a fitting end.

Sweet, it's like a different machine now. I decided to do another MDS nylon hammer as a test. I normally use a HSS cutter because it leaves a better finish but the carbide insert cutter is now giving a better surface than I was previously getting with the HSS.
