Kris, You probably know this already, but for others. More injuries happen in articulating booms when they are in the down position (like your pic) and just moving from point A to point B , than when raised. When the wheels go over a bump, that basket is like a catapult!
The cold snap certainly makes "landmine removal" easier... except where our Boston Terrier goes in the gravel Small dogs eat less and make smaller poops, for sure. I have a buddy with 2 greyhound rescue dogs, a weimeraner , and a Staffordshire terrier (that thinks it's a lapcat/greyhound mix). His backyard can be terrifying if he misses a couple days.I did nothing airgun related yesterday; I did wrap up The Expanse on Amazon Prime- no doubt in my mind it is the best Science Fiction series ever produced.Perused Jalopnik and a few other blogs per usual. Oh, and I know a lot of you could care less, but for me and SWMBO- we're excited about news from Hyundai: it appears the new Hyundai pickup will be made in Bill's backyard. 380 databases don't lie: Hyundai is building some darn good vehicles.I'll be looking forward to see how it stacks up. Certainly fills a niche of a true utility vehicle. I don't need another full pick-up, but I do cart around bags of concrete, fencing, lumber and such periodically. Hyundai has been at the head of the auto-design pack for a few years, so I'm wondering if this will be a niche vehicle like the El Camino/Ranchero, Subaru Brat and Baja (and Rabbit pick-up) were- or if this is going to pick up a lot of momentum.

If you're looking for a uni-bodied front wheel drive with a face that looks like it was a bad Camaro transplant, a 2.5l engine to haul your YETI cooler and boogie or skate board around then the Santa Cruz may just be for you. I just don't see any advantage to a 'truck' that would try to separate itself in the middle while trying to pull a greasy string out of a cat's butt.
Seeing as Chevy decided that they messed up with the El Caminos and made the second and third gens in the S10 package, body on frame with a divorced bed. I really do consider my 99 s10 to be a coupe with a divorced long bed, it is not a truck to me at least.

LOL... My '86 S-10 had a 2.5 "Iron Duke" and a 5 spd manual trans.... Hauled WAY (double) more than it's GVW many times. treated it like a TRUCK... or maybe a TRACTOR.took a licking and kept on ticking, traded it in with 250K on the odo.

I just like to rip on it as all the guys I work with have full size trucks.
Anyhow, the Santa Cruz is not a pickup truck. It's a small SUV with the back seat and the rear half of the roof chopped off. I prefer my SUV with a fold down rear seat and a fully enclosed rear. I prefer my truck on a frame, rear or 4x4 drive and a bed that can haul 1/2 ton and above. I also want to tow with it.At least the Elks had a frame and rear wheel drive and I'm pretty sure none of them were powered by Singer.
