I bought a new Toyota 2wd pickup way back in 2000.  It’s been my daily driver ever since.  It has 297,800 (approx) miles on it.  I have been telling myself that I will give it an overhaul inside and out when it reaches 300,000.

I have used and abused this little truck over the years.  It has been reliable this whole time.  I think I’m going to start the process of getting it back into top shape.  Today I started by giving It a good wash inside and out.  The journey begins.

Waiting for daylight to get so I can finish wrecking the rest of the yard to bring in more yard wrecking equipment. Long weekend for me. I still have downed trees that I haven't even touched. You don't realize how damage a major hurricane can do until you have one in your backyard. The after effects will be felt for years to come around here.

One 4 wheeler loaded on the single trailer. Betty Lou decided not to go today so I'm solo. Just waiting to be paroled from work at noon. The rig is waiting in the parking lot. I can hear it calling my name.

I need to prepare for two out of state visitors that will be showing up tonight, and then five more Monday. Work, work , work, I thought I retired, LOL. We will have company including kids in the house for the next two weeks.

40 miles in beautiful northern Michigan was cold and snow on the ground but the trails were perfect. If anyone is familiar with fredrick trails we rode both loop then the small loop.

Dropped kids off, picked kids up, in between all of that I was able to get a haircut and grab some things from the store.  I had just enough time to eat on the way out of the door to head into work.  Now that I’m at work, I can take a break.  Whew!

I will stick to pushing trees and mud, thank you. Although playing a little snow or at least watch it fall would be nice change of scenery.

Ha ha!  It takes time to shuttle kids around especially when they have to be in different directions at different times.  Saturday’s are our busiest days here at the house.  I work in the afternoons so at least I’m home and able to help until around 1:30 pm when I have to leave for work.  I’m not complaining though, it’s GREAT the be the dad!

I simply can't do what I could when I was younger and it costs a LOT to have someone else do it... and not do it right...  (heavy sigh)

Just not the same Bill, I have worked and played in snow for what few days it has stayed around but anything longer I can feel ya'lls pain of snow blowing and shoveling yourselves out everyday for months on end.

All I did was take meds and eat. Much needed day of rest. Wore out.

Tired of raking and blowing leaves so I got the mower out and just ran over them --- multiple times -- now mulch for the lawn.

Polished the headlight lenses on my truck and one of the vans.  So much clearer now!
