Well, still haven't received mine.  The seller said he sent another one, then said he would issue a refund, which has not shown up after 4 days.  Giving him until tomorrow before I send negative feedback.

I about decided that I would use the speed tester mostly with the U Bolt. So I covered it with shrink tubing and made a metal re-enforcement to go under the fiber mounting board so when clamped down would not tend to bend and break over time. Also cut a piece of one inch conduit for a shim. One and a half inch long to go under the U Bolt when needed.....

As I have a DIY LDC at the end of my ATI Nova Freedom .177, I plan to use the U bolt as well.  I don't have to worry about scratches, but for a secure fit I will have to find something to cushion the U-bolt.

Thanks for the update on the tripod.

I think that the clamp version is better than the tripod version.  I feel like there's less chance of shooting it if the meter is affixed to the barrel.

Yes, it's handy because it's small enough to fit into the range bag.
I ordered it through Amazon,  the same one that you posted. They have tracking numbers for your viewing pleasure. My order was placed the first day, left the factory to the shipper in China the next day, then no updates for about two weeks.  Then it arrived on the west coast, trucked via FedEx, and to my door about 3 or 4 days after that.
When you track it don't worry about the two weeks or so while it's on the ship, it's on its way.

Thanks, although that is not very encouraging. I guess I will just have to wait.  From the reviews, I think it will do what I need it to do.
I don't mind the conversion from MPS to FPS, although the Chinese would be strongly advised to make that option available. (grin)
Seems like it would be a very simple firmware change.

This looks like a neat unit and the price is worth the gamble. I have a Magneto Speed V2 but was told that it won't work with 177 or 22 pellets so I'm really looking forward to trying this out.
