Found a needle in a stack of needle. a 12mm ID, 14mm OD shim. That should fit perfect behind the PP700SA barrel tension nut.

I'm not sure why the nut is bottoming out, before the shroud is tight.

I did quite a bit of airgun related stuff already today, I finished up my hunting video and then I took twelve shots at some circles with my favorite Crosman 150 using cast 19.5 grain Hunters of course

Put different scope/rings on my 12 ft/lb. D34, rough sighted it in @ 50'. Will hit my indoor range 0530 manana and sight it in @25 meters. AA 8.4 4.52mm it likes and I've got a bunch of them, it's a deadly combo as my back yard defender. My last 5 shots @50'.

Worked on my Gamo Swarm Maxxim this morning--it's Spring Break (I'm a teacher) and I finally got a day off for plinking! Woohoo!!

Tuning up my Gamo to sell it to my dad. Addressed several issues: (1) fuzzy scope performance, (2) figuring out the best hand-hold for consistency, and (3) trying to identify why it's dumping 1 of every 20 pellets from the auto-loader.

For the first problem, I bought a Barsca 3-7 x 32 scope and replaced the Gamo scope. Nope, the scope wasn't the problem. Taking the little Barsca back. I'm glad to know that the scope is not a part of my problem.

For the second problem, I shot about 50 pellets trying to get better groups (NOT HAPPENING just yet). I did get the scope zeroed out well, and I did hit the bulls-eye at least 30% of the time. My frustration is that I get way to big of a CTC at only 12 yds. I could handle a quarter (even a .50 cent piece), but I'm sooooo inconsistent with the Gamo. And, yes, I've tried about 10 pellets (Crosman, Gamo, H&N) in about as many styles. CPHPs 7.9 are readily available and average nearly the same groupings as the H&Ns, so I shoot the cheaper pellets. I'm beginning to think that the Gamo Swarm is very, VERY hold sensitive (as well as light enough for me to bounce around too easily). In all, though, the Gamo seems capable enough.

The third problem still stumps me. My Gamo is failing to load about 1/20 of the pellets (that's two magazine loads)--and it's getting more frequent. Any ideas?

my crown and polish REALLY did the trick on my skyhawk!

going to swing by one of my permissions and throw a group at 80yds and see how much it has improved.

Ugh... If I could scrape up $800... Whoo-Wee BABY!

Here I am trying to build a .20 CO2 gun out of as many left over parts as I can!
Tonight was the final sanding of the stock before Paint... yes PAINT.

It is killing me.... but with the make-shift repairs of the broken stock by the previous owner I see no other recourse.
Once again trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear...

I'd like to try bedliner myself, but howabout spray on Plasti-Dip? I tried it on some shooting sticks (metal and plastic), but I wondered then how it would be on wood. It doesn't stick really tight to the sticks. Maybe primer might help that, but the DIY car detailers like it because of that property--they can peal it off later when they change their minds. It has a nice grippy feel--even better than the black wrap on my R10. And it's available in colors at Walmart, albeit several are bright green, yellow or red...

I have already bought regular satin brown paint for it, along with can of brown "stone" that I will put on the grip and under the forearm to mimic "stippling" on my higher end guns.
Then a matte clear to top coat the entire thing.

My auto-loader quit working after about 100 shots. It started mangling pellets every time I cocked the rifle. Tore it apart several times but never got it to work.
I just took it off and tossed it in the garbage.

That is one reason I got the Matte clear, hoping a few coats will not only protect it but smooth it out a tad.
Where I am putting it, I will want "texture".

The stem seal gave up in my 1377 RC,(it still has the brass stem) so I hunted up info and repaired it
Dug the old seal out and compressed a nylon washer in its place. Chucked it up in my Dremel and took a small fine file to it, to smooth it.
Back in action!

Replaced the breech o-ring and the o-ring at the tip of the valve in my Beeman P17. Then I fixed an issue with the hammer spring because it was tensioned against the left grip instead of the right grip. I sanded and polished some trigger bits while I was at it. Maybe I just got one of the worse put together ones, but I would have been better off if they just sent me the gun as a bag of parts and instructions. It was put together ALL WRONG at the factory, but it's great now.
