I had a HW45 on pre-order at AoA.  I decided it wasn't what I wanted to spend that much $ on and I'm not a real big air pistol fan so I canceled my order.

If I'm going to spend more than $100 on a pistol it ain't gonna be air or C02 powered..

FINALLY mounted the cabinet to the wall and moved airgun stuff in.  I needed to get that done.

For 2 weeks I have been digging out air guns I haven't shot in a while. Just working through the herd...
Left them in the family room. Tonight I had to do house cleaning and put them away.

Milling is going slow for the AEA30 sear.  The Alpha iteration sear looks janky but could work.
I had the drill press at sub 1,000rpm for milling the carbon fiber.  I moved the bands up to the max 3,600rpm and the carbide mill cut cleaner.
If I cared about form over function I would cut a Beta, but I'm only after function.

Decided that the Alpha version had all the same mistakes I made on my first 80% lower.  BTW Kamala and Joe are full of (hot air)...you can not whip together a functioning gun in "a few minutes with basic tools."
Anyway the Beta version has better straight lines and is looking better.

Removed the shroud from the benji trail np xl and wrapped the barrel in tape before putting the shroud back on.

Accuracy seems to have improved.

Then I tightened the screws.

Accuracy still better than pretape, but less than pre screw tightening. Maybe I just got tired. [chuckling]

Hi Rion.

I used to own a 22cal Benjamin Trail NP XL 1000.
I gained consistent accuracy by leaving the shroud off and wrapping the barrel with self-adhesive camo tape.
I now wrap all the barrels on my rifles.

Today my FX Pocket Radar arrived from Pyramyd. I could not get it to work, no way, no how. Then I figured out that I had it mounted onto the muzzle backwards. When you're pointing the gun ready to shoot, make sure you see the little green light on the unit.
When I finally got it working, it was missing every other shot. I went to the "Minimum Return - Advance" page in the app and switched the level from 20 to 10. Now it works perfectly. I've still got a lot to learn about this thing, but I am very happy with it so far.
The only thing I don't like about it is having to mount it to my muzzle with rubber bands. I've got it on a break barrel, and cocking it every shot with that unit hanging on to the end is unnerving. It's too expensive to be dropping on my garage floor. I am going to figure out a more secure attachment method for it.

I know that battle… it’s been on the back-burner for me. But, I really need to get back on it. The summer time there isn’t much time for me. But, I need to do what I can. Organization has spun out on me. That’s why I like GTA, it’s encouraging to see what you and others are accomplishing.

Wow, only a month?   For me, it's up to decades for some stuff.   I do have my serious shooting stuff pretty organized.  I can lay my hands on most of in in minutes.
