Posting in what airgun related and pump up the jam threads;

I modified my Ice Maker TP by adding an o-ring as a gasket between the air tube and the breech.  I did this after observing that the OD of the Ice Maker was .248 and the ID of the air tube was .2625.
I also inserted a dowel into my barrel to prevent over-drilling and reduce shavings and opened the barrel port up to 0.167 to match the 0.167 ID of the Ice Maker(nominal 0.170). I counter sunk a brief 0.25 into the barrel as well.  I used my micro diameter diamond tip dremel head to clean up all the burs.  Seven wet patches and three dry patches later the barrel was ready for reassembly.
Next I used the same dremel head to shape a 45 degree-ish bevel on the bottom side of the probe aka flow probe mod.  Finally reassembled the entire AG and took the chrony to the backyard range.

Started out with a 496fps average for about 7.8fpe at 10 pumps.  Very pleased with the improvement and would be at 8+fpe if I give up the SBR look and go to a 14” Barrel.
Shot three dropped to 479fps, but I had retained air.  Clearing the air returned to 488fps and a little retained air, which I cleared before trying 15 pumps to get 467fps and a good amount of retained air.

So I could stop right here and have a SB Carbine at a very squirrel capable 7.8fpe (under 20 yards).  Or disassemble the valve to experiment with lighter valve springs to eliminate retained air.  I can’t go any heavier or shimmed on the hammer spring as I am approaching the limit of ability to cock the AG smoothly.  I had promised myself that I would not modify Mr. Melon’s work...

I really need to make it until October-January before I do anything that costs more than, say, a bag of chips and a coke, or my wife will plunge a steak knife into my chest while I’m sleeping. Right now I’m worth more to her dead than alive.

The Canadian Airgun Store still has them, the red laminate in .177, for CA$599/US$455.

Dunno how much their shipping is to the US nowadays, but it was around US$40 4-5 years ago.

One good thing about the S200 is that PA still sells barrels for it in .177 or .22 for a little over a hundred bucks.

 Found a hard plastic rifle case at a benefit yard sale, the kind with egg carton foam. Good shape, but dusty.
Cleaned it all up when I got home. Found it only takes rifles without scopes.

After struggling with a squirrel I checked the zero on my Bottle Bandito this morning. It's all over the place  it seems that the cheap "CvLife" reflex sight has perished. I'm torn between getting another red dot or an LPVO scope.

I've owned a couple very cheap optics and they were not successes.   Others have probably been luckier than me but I'm not too willing to spend any of my remaining time worrying about or fiddling around with optics that might or might not have a wandering zero.    Maybe, just an old guy getting lazier.
