Turns out I don't need the risers but the droop was really evident. A little friction tape shim and much better!
Zeroed in at 20 yards.

Changed around a barrel and scope on my old spring powered Vantage, changed stock and front cocking handle on my Ruger blackhawk. Its fun being bored, LOL

Unpacked my latest acquisition: a Hammerli 850 Magnum, with four mags. Wow, what a nice shooting air rifle. I'm so tempted to put a scope on it....

I did some 10m off-hand shooting in my garage with my Benjamin P-Rod. The more I shoot this gun, the more I like it.

I dont miss my trap in my 10y attic range even a flyer hits my trap. Well there was one time I had a slug split at about 4y then at 8y hit the ceiling and the other half went through my door at 10y i found that half on the floor... So one day in my excitement after my 2240 carbine build I hit my trap several times on the edge of the tote lid at least I hit the part of the target I was aiming at... Shattering about half of the lid lip off the long side pretty well ruining that trap at least to me. So today I separated all of the pellets from the rubber mulch and while it dries I picked up 2 more bags of rubber mulch and a larger 10 gallon tote for my new trap. Now I can set up two target groups at once. Some time soon I will make sure there is no rubber and smelt down the pellets to cast with it is a mix of JSB and crosman probably no less than 5 pounds.

I am anxious about getting my latest mold purchase, I've been tinkering some with the prototype mold I got recently from Al at NOE, everything will be melted back down soon for the mold I'll be getting hopefully Monday.

I'm not going to melt down the slugs that I've cast with my Lyman pin mold for the 217-30-FN mold cause they shoot really nice but the prototype slugs not so good on the left side of the pic.

Matt I think it will probably work just as good as the Lyman pin mold because the pins on the prototype I'm sure will be different as will the sprue plate. I think that mainly the prototype mold was to get a good idea of what the cavity was going to be and I did measure the slug and it's actually right on the money. When I cut the sprue (rough sprue plate) it's making the base of them oval and there's really no adjustment for the depth of the pins either (other than close enough to work).

Any feedback...

I've always used them interchangeably. I think it comes down to the design as to how well they work.

If you live in the "states" it's 3/8" (0.375")
Anywhere else it's called a slightly larger 11mm (0.433")
That's .058" or "58 thou" diffeternce.... they interchange.....close enough for Rock and Roll.
