Just cam in from a little target practice with the Mayhem SBD. I took the time to tighten the pivot screw and the stock screws.

I shot a little better, maybe a little more consistent but still not great. Continue with the shouldering issues. Still some improvement.

But it was 90F and the RH was at 60% or more. Just miserable. I quit after two dozen rounds. Just not really enjoable to shoot mediocre and having sweat roll off my body, having to wipe my face every couple of minutes. Just miserable.

I found a pair of scope mounts I forgot about so I stuck them on the re-barreled Crosman 760 with a spare scope I had and after a brief sight in it was cutting a single hole at eleven yards, all in the black. Call me amazed.

I got a .177 QB78. The first three or four times cocking (cock on close) it was YUCK gritty both opening and closing, but then it suddenly became smooth. It shoots good (Aerosol paint can test today). I will get to a target test when it is not a 100* day.

It looks really great for the money. I would say it had a better fit and finish than the 2260's or Discovery's I have gotten. That may not be a high bar but I am impressed, I wish I would have gotten more than one at $70 + $14 shipping.

Oh ya! I bought my wife a .22 QB78 last year and that thing rocks. Accurate like crazy with just iron sights. I like it so much I almost bought a Chief because it`s styled after the 78. Still might but I`m trying to resist the urge.

Shot at, and apparently missed, a Squirrel... 3 times. Same Squirrel, I think... (heavy sigh)

Strange thing is, every time I missed (25 yards) I could easily hit the golf balls that are also at 25 yards.

I went back out right before dark and shot at a 7 1/4" circular saw blade hung from a tree from 45 yards standing unsupported open sights and hit it 8 out of ten times. The group looked to be about 3' high and 1" wide just left of center. All the hits were on the bottom half more towards the bottom edge so I am pretty sure the 2 misses were low it was getting hard to see the sights, but the temp was nicer. I am getting a good feeling.

I have a .177 QB78 I got a few years ago from (the Bowman) Airguns and I really have come to appreciate it.
Mine is wearing a Banner 4x32 and loves Gamo Tomahawks.
My bolt felt a bit gritty,and I removed it and polished it.

After taking the Crosman PCP questionnaire on Facebook over the weekend, I got my 25% off discount code for something from their site this past Monday. Minus a couple things. I've been looking at their rifles for the last couple days, & am just about settled on the Repeatair 1077W. $114.99 minus 25% comes down to $86.24. Nice rifle for the price and would be my 6th Crosman Co2 rifle.
Said to be only 3.69lbs, a bit lighter than my 160 Pellgun supposedly? A Winchester 4x32AO scope on Hawke low-rise mounts should do, since the AO adjusts down to like 5yds?

I need to shoot! Guns are staged, traps are set...
But with the heat / humidity here, I feel like I live in Alabama. You could cut the air with a knife now. Especially working in a hot Plant all day, I am spent...
I could set up the indoor range in the A/C, but I have had my fill of that that for winter months.
Don't know how you Southerners do it.

Maybe I will sort the safe and take pellet inventory.
