I could set up the indoor range in the A/C, but I have had my fill of that that for winter months.

Ordered some H&N .22 Crow Magnum pellets. Also ordered a portable air conditioner for the 3rd floor of a rental house. I set starling/pigeon/squirrel bait in the vacant yard next door, I monitor the yard with a security camera. I can enter the front door and shoot the pests from the back porch. I keep this sign updated on the back porch

Since moving up to a .22 from a .177, my kill ratio has improved tremendously. Pigeon DRT at 35 yds, wouldn't happen with a .177.

Temp is 90 and humidity is higher at 60%...so Heat index is equal... tomorrow is supposed to be worse.

I bought some M3x16mm screws today for the quantum trigger adjustments on my Hatsan 95. Another member on GTA told me his 95 came with 12mm screws, my two forward screws are turned all the way in but I need just a tad more. This afternoon I cut off and rounded three of those I bought and now I have a 12.41mm, 13.01mm, & 13.49mm lengths. Hopefully one of those will be enough to bring my sear engagement to around .030".

Did some more testing of the NSA .177 cal slugs. The 15.5gr ones shot the best for me.

Bored, so I painted my F4 today, and installed a sling I made for it. Now it is a proper walk about hunting/plinking gun.

Went out and shot the Mayhem SBD some today about 4 dozen round, target practice.

Same ole. Started out shooting pretty good 5 'good' shots, then it all fell apart. Gathered it back together and shot some more 'good' shots, rinse/repeat.

Today was two of my granddaughters introduction to airguns. First 30-45 minutes of training was classroom instruction (table on the patio). Safety first ( made them memorize the four rules of firearm safety), identity dominate eye, then sight picture, breath control, trigger squeeze. A little airgun nomenclature, then explain how they work and do's and don'ts, then on to the 7 yard target practice. Shooting Daisy Powerline 35 with BBs and 3 pumps. We stayed at this range till both girls were shooting at least a 2" group. Then on to shooting 3" spinners at 10 yards. Fun first day.

Last night, I disassembled the Stormrider (Gen I), cleaned all the parts, installed new o-rings, and reassembled the rifle. I pumped it up and let it rest overnight.
This morning, the pressure had dropped and I discovered a small leak at the gauge. I made a repair to the gauge and re-pressurized the system. It will rest again for about 12 hours to see what happens.

Took the new to me Benji NP2 Elite out this morning. I wanted to shorten the second stage trigger length. I dl'd the manual which said the screw behind the trigger was for adjusting the second stage. This does not appear to be the case. It did shorten the first stage but the second stage is just as long after turning that screw 1 full turn in. Next I'll open it up and look for an obvious fix. I'm not going to invest money into a CDT because this gun may very well end up being offered for sale to a co-worker.

Tom, with the FPS of the Mayhem so high (isn't it 1400 FPS), there's plenty of ways for it to behave badly as a magnum. So, I'm impressed that you can tame it as much as you do!

Congrats! You'll get it tamed in the long run.

No not at all. I ran some across the chrony a week or so ago. Average was 757.4 FPS but a spread of 33 over a 10 shot group (Max 768, Min 735) $:-\$

Took my 30 caliber Crosman 400 ($15 Sears parts gun, 30-06 barrel) to the next level of modding:

1. 303 SS valve (safety: spans across all screw holes with provision for 2 future side pins),
2. 1020 rear valve spring guide,
3. 303 SS hammer with spring guide/cocker coming off the back,
4. 1/2 a VZ 98 Mauser hammer spring (Bubba provisions)!,
5. 303 SS rear tube cap

Force of cock must be about 15-20 lbs. Caldwell failed to record something with the com connection! Pics attached.

First shot (made 2)
727 FPS - 44.75 gr = 52 FPE
Second was 650 FPS

So first shot was 52 FPE using Hatsan 44.75 gr pellets at a 1400 psi fill!

There is more that needs to be done. For some reason poppet dumps at 500 psi so I have to work on that. I am working within CO2 pressures and if I go higher I will test with hydraulic set up. Valve is secured better than original and higher strength metal.

Later I'll have to engineer an impressive .308 pellet normalizer to hopefully up the size of the head and skirt (impress a HP in front while pressing a cone on back) = cheap 308's

Oh and I'd like to use my 2 groove take off barrel from my "US Model of 1917 Enfield Eddystone Sporterized from Military Mongrel" with the qb79 breech that Mudbugmitch sold me. It will give me 24" (17" now) and may look a little more normal.

I think that is the RC Car bearing fix. I drilled out and turned down a nut to fit my Crosman F4. I think it is 1 stage but lighter and not much travel. Be careful to make sure you bump test it for safety.

I stopped by Lowes earlier to buy some spray adhesive for sticking my labels on for my cast pellets.
I'll tell you what that is some really good stuff IMO and much cheaper than going out and buying that sticky label paper.

Works good for putting paper targets onto some cardboard for nice clean holes too!

Here is a tip for you. Store the spray cap in a jar of acetone and clean it with a soft brass brush. Otherwise it ends up getting all gummed up and eventually sputters globs and clogs long before the can is empty.

Got my BKL scope rings and mounted the Niko Steering on my Beeman Silver Kodiak.
Turns out I don't need the risers but the droop was really evident. A little friction tape shim and much better!
Zeroed in at 20 yards.
