Bill I think the minimum orders for the SPA guns is actually quite high for the wholesalers. I remember looking into it about a year ago but can't quite remember what it is, seems like the minimums were either 200 or 300 guns but definitely don't mark my words

Mike Mellick has been dealing with the Chinese for a long time. Maybe I'll give him a call this morning and see what he has to say. I haven't talked to him in some time, it'll be great to hear his voice if nothing else.

My experience with Mrodair has not been a pleasant one. It's available on BBB of Arkansas and Arkansas Attorney General Office.
My experience is if you don't say anything negative about him or Mrodair he will treat you fairly. Say or write anything else and your toast.
I was dully warned before my first purchase but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and help a small business if I can.

It was actually pretty easy to get the dispute form from the gift card visa, did it all online, so no more phone calls or emails from me.

In all my years of doing internet and mail order this is the first time I've ever had to do anything like this.

To those that do business with this guy, there's a reason why bad customer service exists, it's because we allow it to. I did nothing to this guy but try and order some parts, close to 2 months ago, paid for said parts (yes the charge is on the card) and have never received the parts or tracking information whatsoever.
So I'm done trying to reach this guy, if he's to busy doing other things then maybe he shouldn't be operating a business, because he's not too busy to take my money, only to busy to provide the slightest bit of customer support.

I feel like a victim here, and having people chime in that they will still do business with this guy kind of makes me feel weird. Weird in the sense like talking to the guy who got randomly punched in the mouth by the bipolar guy while riding the bus, saying something like "what did you say to him that made him punch you weird. I've known him for sometime now, he's never just up and punched me, what did you say to him that made him hit you?" Then guy says I was just riding the bus like everyone else, minding my own business, didn't say a word to the guy, and he punched me.

Julie at SPA told me they planned to have a new distributor in the USA early this year. Not sure who it is though.

I hope I didn't seem insensitive to your issue. I was not defending MRodAir or questioning your experience. I was merely reporting my experience the same as you were. I am in total agreement that we need more/better sources for the SPA guns in the US. We also need sources for replacement parts and service for those who, either don't have the ability or the inclination to "tinker".
I have tried to reach out to Mike Mellick at Flying Dragon a couple times today with no luck. I won't give up altho I have a feeling that if Mike M. had the desire or connection to provide this line of SPA guns he would have already done so.
Please understand that I cannot refrain from riding a bus because there have been some issues on the bus on previous routes. If that were the case then we , as air gunners, would have no buses to ride at all.

Honestly if he's has the time to be online posting on forums, he should go check his business emails and phone voicemails and reply, I can't be the only person that is trying to get ahold of him.

Sounds like it's finally reaching a boiling point here with MrodAir. In the past there were always those few whom he treated well that were chiming in to defend him. Not so much anymore. I'm ecstatic to hear (or at least hope) there will be a new/additional distributor of SPA guns. It's about time. I hope they were not just talking about Diana. Chickie perhaps? I'd love it.

Quite frankly I was surprised the loyalty of his "Frequent Buyers Club" he had despite what was going on with his business practices and customer relations skills.

I suppose I am guilty of defending.... Believe me, I've had my ups and downs with this vendor. Not what others have experienced. Then again, I've not had the bad experiences with some other vendors that others have had either.
At the end of the day... I'm happy with my SPA guns and look forward to what they offer in the future.
If someone would ask me if they should order a gun from this vendor I would share my experience as well as the experience of others.
I think we are all in agreement that we need a reliable source for the SPA line.

On a related note....
I spoke with Mike Mellick at Flying Dragon this morning.. It's a no go on this line of SPA guns. Mike said that he has tried and the afore mentioned vendor has them locked in for importation to the US. I asked him why it was that Diana was able to rebrand and bring them in. He said he didn't quite understand how that was being done but he has tried and could not make it happen. I then asked him about the pumper specifically because MRodAir does not carry that particular gun and again he said... no go.
So I guess it is what it is.

So, I wonder who the other U.S. vendor will be? I wonder if the importation agreement has an expiration date and SPA is not going to renew it. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out... Mike M. may be keeping in touch with SPA just in case...

Mike's specific deal is with Xisico. That may be the Chinese export company and not SPA directly.
