Don, is that the 22.5g version mold? The DAR is very pock on which of the four stems you use.

Yes it is,
I do year round Hosp/Starling sniping around here in my "No Fly Zone", have been mainly using the 22 cals,
but want to get others set up, like a good 17 cal PCP, as the DAR turned out to be a flop, so far,
so I am looking real hard at the Sentry 177 now.

Don I literally exploded a shipmunk the other day with my Sentry .22 using a hollow point BBT. One of the louder pops I've heard recently

I recently got a Sentry HC Deluxe in .22 but when I went to fill it the first time it's leaking from somewhere inside the fill port. Mike at FD sent me instructions on opening it up to check the o-rings, but it's actually holding air at around 500psi so is there some way to degas it before I take the front cap off or will it begin to leak out slowly and safely as I open the cap? Don't want to blow things apart by mistake.

Curious as to if you bought your rifle direct from Mike. If so, did you have him tune it? My 22 705 is due to be delivered this next week and I had Mike so I would hope it doesn't have any leaks. Hearing too many leak stories from folks with brand new rifles...

That's a concern for me too, David. My 705 is coming in tomorrow, so I'll report back. I bought this gun instead of an Avenger at the same price point because of the stories of leaks and issues with the Avenger- I thought Mike went through these guns and tested them before sale, even for the stock guns, so I figured there wouldn't be any leaks or problems from new... 🤔

Typo in my post above - meant to say had Mike tune mine.

Michael - I went through two .22 Avengers before I gave up on them. Nice and light but my 1st one wouldn't group shots consistently or adjust hammer spring consistently and had a stripped picatinny rail screw threads. 2nd one had same inconsistency issues so I gave up.

1. Is there much of a difference between the Xisico 705 Sentry PCP [$320] and the XISICO Sentry PCP [$225]?
2. How's the accuracy compared to the Avenger, Marauder, and Hatsan Bullpup [we are consistently obtaining one hole shots at 50+ yards]?
3. How's the decibel level compared to the Avenger, Marauder, and Hatsan Bullpup? Our Marauder is by far the quietest.
4. Where's the best place to purchase the higher quality o-rings and how challenging is it to install them?
5. Does Mike replace the o-rings when he does the tune?
6. Any more advice you may have for me?

I did have it power tuned but I also let it sit for like 3 months before trying to fill it. Mike did say to let him know if I couldn't fix it but don't want to have to ship it back for something minor.

They will do whatever you want done for the gun within its limits. If you want the gun totally gone through there may be added fee from the tune fee, but it can be had. And they stand behind its function. Best to discuss details over phone.

As far as power and noise, the cheaper version needs a bit of help in those departments from my experience, has been dubbed a tinkers gun , and after time that has held true, but with good results with slugs and pellets.

After probably 1k rounds through my 705 .22 I replaced the fill port o ring with the spare that came with the gun, it failed after about another 500 shots, I then called Mike on the phone and asked what size the o ring was so I ordered some from the o ring store and haven't replaced it since. He told me it was usually the first o ring to go on these guns and the one that was put in it was the wrong size. He recommended 90 duro however the "O Ring Store" only had them in 70 duro and so far so good, haven't had any leaks at all since then.

Just a heads up but Mike @ Flying Dragon says ANY modification to a Sentry bought from him completely voids the Warranty. I was going to have the Barrel on my incoming rifle threaded to accept a screw-on Moderator but guess I'm going with a slip-on instead. Any chance someone could take a caliper and measure the diameter of their 705 .22 barrel so I can get a Moderator ordered?

I thought maybe everyone would like a list of the o-ring sizes needed for the Sentry 705. I got these from Mike.

T-port o-ring is 5mm x 1.5mm
Barrel o-ring is 8.2 x 1.8
End cap is 19 x2.5
.22 bolt probe is 2.24 x 1.8
.25 bolt probe is 3.15 x 1.8
Valve is 20 X 2.65
Fill probe is 5 x 1.5

Thanks for the o ring list!

I got my rifle in today. Looks great, feels great. the side lever is very smooth, better than the Benjamin Akela or Bulldog. I was going to mount up a Hammers scope and try it out, but realized the receiver is a dovetail mount and all I had was Weaver mounts. So I ordered adapters and get to wait... another week.

Mike M replied back to me - the 705 .22 barrel is 14mm in diameter

I had my Sentry out today and managed to get me a nice fox squirrel with it

If I don't get carried away with plinking while I'm out there these guns have plenty of usable shots after a 3K fill. Yesterday when I was out with it I also got a chipmunk with it, when the slug hit it made such a loud pop it actually echoed through the woods. The gun is flat out reliable as heck in my opinion and I'd be lost without it. My main hunter before this gun was my Airmax Dominator however the power I'm getting with my 705-9K .22 far surpasses it. Don't get me wrong because the Dominator is a really good regulated gun but the modifications to it are limited because of the design. People have modified the Xisico Sentry to do in excess of 100fpe which is amazing for a $320 gun with no super expensive modifications to them.

Anyone know what's up with the suffixes? I just got a 705-9T from Mike and I see reference to a 9K. Is it just minor model revisions?

Also, I was thinking about a bullpup conversion, but these stocks are pretty comfortable as-is. What do you all think?
