Bacon and egg breakfast burrito.  We have been getting lots of free eggs from a family at church lately so, I have been eating a lot of breakfast burritos.

We’re pushing the envelope today.  With the memsahib’s Alpha-GAL allergy we are experimenting with different foods.  Today was BACON!  Hallelujah!  I made the spouse an omelette with cheese, bell peppers, and onions.  My novia had half a piece of bacon with her breakfast.  Now we are both armed with Epi pens and waiting for her to display any symptoms. 

I fried three eggs over easy for myself and boiled a pot of grits.  Bacon, aigs n grits!  Life is good!

I had some breaded cod fish fillets from Costco for supper last night and the night before. I 4 of the fillets the night before and man was I miserable 😣. Way to much!! They were just so good I didn't want to stop eating them.

The premier event in town yesterday was the "soft opening" of a Li'l Caesar's. People lined up to order and kept on coming as we munched our classic three-meat pizza lunch on the tailgate (no dining, just takeout there). Should have eaten only two slices instead of four. The heavy load of fat, salt, and refined carbs left no appetite for dinner.

Next time I have to try what I often scarfed down decades ago, the Crazy Bread sticks or the pair of square slices. Now the lunch deal is FOUR square slices and a large bottle of soda. My husband and I could share that--lunch for about $6 for both of us. No side salads on their menu and I suspect there won't be, which is a bummer.

Waiting to see if the grand opening next Saturday will be even more busy. Yep, chain pizza branch opening is a dining highlight here. 🤔

Bill I can remember a few times waking up Saturday morning after partying hard Friday night to find there was still beer and pizza left!  Good times.  Good times.

I went scalloping last summer and shrimping in the fall.  I’ve still got quart bags of shrimp and scallops in the freezer.  I dug two bags out yesterday and made an Alfredo sauce.  Sautéed shrimp and bay scallops Alfredo over angel hair pasta with cole’s slaw made from a cabbage grown in our garden!

Chocolate chip cookie for breakfast, big slice of watermelon for lunch to help me cool off. Looking forward to a baked potato for dinner.

We just got home from a grand daughters graduation party. There was Fried Chicken, Rotisserie Chicken, Ham and Cheese and turkey sandwiches, mac and cheese, potato salad, Charcuterie Boards, and lots of cut up watermelon, pineapple and strawberries, and 3 kinds of cupcakes. Lots of various drinks soft and otherwise available to pick from, I stuck with bottled water though. I have never seen so many pink and white balloons in one place, the place was really decorated.
