I started out practicing 10M offhand with the IZH46M but for some reason I was really shaky and the shots were all over the place. I quit after the first 10 shot string. So I went out on the deck with the Crosman 600 and chilled out plinking at cans and cookware hanging from trees. When I originally got the 600, I wasn't planning on liking or keeping it but it's starting to grow on me. Too bad I only get about 30 full power shots on one CO2 cartridge. After some relaxing deck shooting, some pushups, some surfing, I tried the IZH 10M again and did much better.

I learned how to shoot using my father's, and when he did his Medd-run and a North Atlantic run while on active duty, I kept our 'hood safe from water moccasins with it. Nice airgun Last night before sunset I broke out some H&N .177 Excite wadcutters and my Crosman 2100, then proceeded to annihilate a beer can (Mich Ultra) at ~ 40 yards. First few shots were horribad, but once I re-learned that rifle it was game on. I've been enjoying the pumpers a lot lately, but it reiterates I need to smooth out the shot cycle on the CZ 451 and my C-1 springers so they get some attention. I still haven't recharged or replaced the gas piston in my Hatsan 95QE. I read somewhere (maybe here?) there's a Crosman Nitro-Piston that's a drop in replacement.
I've been looking for good candidates for guns to live in the Casting Cabin. I have a 3 gun wall rack and a 6 gun floor stand rack. I'm trying to diversify the platforms.I have targets set at 20, 25 and 35yds and I'm shooting bench rested from a small folding table just inside the door. This morning I added the Crosman Blaze NP in .177. I shot both the Crosman UM 10.5 and the Norma 9.1 heavies. Both pellets shot virtually the same.... the CPUM just slightly edged out the Normas... not even enough to pick one over the other. The CPUM hits at a close 1 oclock over the Normas.20yds. stacking pellets25yds. opened to a dime35yds, opened to a nicklePCP has definitely spoiled me but basically, no pest is safe in our front yard.
Took the Hatsan 1kx Vortex .25 gas ram to the Cabin and shot some of my cast pellets with it this morning. It did ok but it still likes Benjamin better.... It's a ragged hole maker with those and it hits hard. The RC roller bearing trigger mod is a game changer. You'd better be ready to shoot when put your finger on that trigger.I had to change the angle of the steel blank I was shooting. Betty Lou said they were ricocheting and hitting the front of the house.Sweet gun for the $100 I paid for it new.

I started at about 20 feet and just kept backing up until I'd only hit the aluminum cans 75% of the time. Sorry not to be able to provide more specific distance information.-W
