I spent a good part of the afternoon shooting one of my 4 HW30S in .22 caliber and what a jewel these rifles are.  So easy, accurate  and super relaxing fun.   Charles

I zeroed the ProwlFire for H&N FTT a couple of months back.  Now I've decided that FTT's are a wee bit expensive so I re-zeroed the gun for CPHP and shot a round of spinner targets to relax some.

Blue Streak with some JSB domes; ~ 45 yards downhill just outside our door.  Just some plinking on a RedBull can stuck on the tip of a fire poker I made using a 5 foot steel rod with a Mosin-Nagant bayonet on the end.  We were gonna walk up to the shed and take shots using our "upper range" but we found a new hornet nest under the breaker box up there, so I need to take care of that first.

How do you get the order of fire and point of impact like that in a photo?
I've seen this, or something like it, in competition videos too.

Is it in the Ballistic-X app? How do you use it?

The order of the POI is my best guess.  I know there were seven shots, so I look carefully at the holes and place the POI's best I can.  Can't rely on the order of the shots....

The app works from a photo up on the screen -
1.  Manually place two points that are exactly one inch apart.  So I'll place a ruler on the target when I take the photo, or depending on the target, just know where a one inch reference is.
2. Manually place the POA (point of aim)
3. Manuall place all the shots

The app was cheep and comes in handy for tracking my progress....

Taipan standing off hand 25ish yards at steel eggs 3X mag on the scope. 20 shots.  Some were at dirt 75 yards away just to see the POOF!

Cool, yes, I like my one too ! Cocking is a bit rough (might go smoother after the Flash has seen a couple of tins), but otherwise it is a nice compact  and well balanced airgun. Accurate too.

Something I found that made cocking easier...
I don't have to pull the bolt all the way back as if I were swapping mags to get it to cock and cycle the mag.

Slinging pellets at plinking targets  mainly to see if red dot off a crossbow will stand up to my Benjamin trail NP2 22

I started out practicing 10M offhand with the IZH46M but for some reason I was really shaky and the shots were all over the place.   I quit after the first 10 shot string.   So I went out on the deck with the Crosman 600 and chilled out plinking at cans and cookware hanging from trees.  When I originally got the 600, I wasn't planning on liking or keeping it but it's starting to grow on me.   Too bad I only get about 30 full power shots on one CO2 cartridge.  After some relaxing deck shooting, some pushups, some surfing, I tried the IZH 10M again and did much better.

Spent part of the afternoon enjoying shooting one of my CMP Daisy 853 rifles with Daisy point pellets.  I also found out by letting my trigger finger rest on the bottom of the trigger guard leverage really improved the trigger operation.  Charles

Have you considered doing the trigger mod?
I did it twice and the pull is now 1.25 pounds and 1.5 pounds.
I have to remind myself to not put my finger on the trigger until I'm sure and ready to pull it.

 I had to think on this a moment, but yes I did shoot an airgun today. While getting ready to mow, I did some plinking with the garage 880, mainly to harass the starlings and hosp that were taunting me from angles I could not shoot them at

I've been looking for good candidates for guns to live in the Casting Cabin. I have a 3 gun wall rack and a 6 gun floor stand rack. I'm trying to diversify the platforms.
I have targets set at 20, 25 and 35yds and I'm shooting bench rested from a small folding table just inside the door.
This morning I added the Crosman Blaze NP in .177. I shot both the Crosman UM 10.5 and the Norma 9.1 heavies.
Both pellets shot virtually the same.... the CPUM just slightly edged out the Normas... not even enough to pick one over the other. The CPUM hits at a close 1 oclock over the Normas.
20yds.  stacking pellets
25yds. opened to a dime
35yds, opened to a nickle
PCP has definitely spoiled me but basically, no pest is safe in our front yard.
