I shoot 'ol blue a lot more than I ever post, because I'd have to be posting the gun so much it would annoy people.

I will admit though that it's been awhile, somehow I misplaced all my .20's and didn't want to order more yet because I knew I still had some.


Now that I've found them and don't have the quantity I thought I did, I need to order more but the pellets I've always bought are now discontinued so I'll have to try a few I guess.

I shot the Bandito and Stormrider today. This morning I saw that the 10m casual match just started a new round, so I figured I would print off some targets and try it for the first time. After six cards with the Bandito and six cards with the Stormrider I'm hooked, this is more addicting than any drug I've ever tried. Racing is more fun, but I can do this in my yard and not bother a soul. I did struggle to even see the targets, but after I got used to I could see clear improvement.

Not only did I have fun shooting paper, but I got a pine squirrel that was too close to my tractor half way through a .22/5.5 card. He's cooling down on some ice right now. I would have kept on shooting past six cards, but the wind has been picking up despite the forecast saying it would stay calm all day. The Windy.com app was dead on until about 1300 and the wind was just coming from every direction and even kicking up to about 10 mph (judging by how cold my hands and ears are).

Anyway, some pics of my score cards and guns attached. I'm not entering these cards for my final score, I want to practice some more and maybe make a better card. With less wind I might have gotten above a 180 with the Stormrider. However, I'm not really sure what a "good" score is for 10m with a solid rest (BOG deathgrip in this case).

Nothin!  Winter, along with strong winds and rain, has returned to the Pineywoods.  Maybe, just maybe, my spinner spoons will settle down and I can get in some shootin' next week.

Shootin' old springers on a warm sunny day.    Cool old Webley Osprey, beloved old Daisy Quick Skill and funky old B-3   In the bright sun I spotted some more unidentified caked on crud in some of the many B3 crevices.   Will I ever get the B3 looking good?   I'm preparing for the day when I give up bullseye shooting and spend my afternoons sitting on the deck and plinking at cans.

I loaded my long lost Crosman  2300S with a new CO2 cartridge (been misplaced for the last three years) and pellet and went out in 40 degree weather and shot it off, just to see if it still worked!  Only bad thing is before I found the gun I had just ordered a new one from PA.  Soon I'll have two, as one I have now is a carbine and I'll leave the new one as a pistol.  Charles

Wow, This afternoon it warmed up to +25F and the wind died down somewhat.

Basking in the sunshine and warmth, I went out into 3 1/2 ft deep snow to put up a targets.

I set them up at 25 yards, 30 yards 35 yards and 40 yards, after that I cleared any remaining ice & snow off of my backyard patio.

When all the work was done, I got out the guns and I did a LOT of shooting.... all afternoon.... with these 5 rifles.

1. I mounted a 4x by 32 scope, changed a trigger adjustment screw and sighted in the 25cal Hatsan Striker.

2. I mounted a one piece scope mount and a 3-12x40 AO Mil Dot scope on the 22cal Crosman Summit Ranger and sighted that one in at 30 yards.

3. I mounted a different two piece scope mount and a 3-9x40 AO Mil Dot scope on the 22cal Diamondback and sighted that rifle in at 35 yards.

4. I shot the 22cal Umarex Surge Max Elite and sighted it in at 40 yards.

5. I shot the 22cal Crosman Redtail and set that one up for 40 yards

I was shooting outside on my backyard patio, 5 yards back from where I normally do, the wood piles are at 40 yards from that position.
I shot standing with the rifles braced on my basement walkout door's frame.

Tomorrow I plan on shooting the 25cal Hatsan 125 TH, the 22cal Walther Talon Magnum and maybe the 117cal Umarex NXG APX Multi-Pump.

I waded out in the snow and got this one.

I did not make the cut to modify my original post.

This was the final 40 yard target I shot at today with the Umarex and the Redtail.

It was in-between the two wood piles.

All the 22cal rifles were shooting 22cal Crosman 14.3 gr. Destroyers.

Shot a few mags from the SPA Plinkster .177.
I was quite surprised how well it shot with temps in the mid 50's.

 So far I picked up my HPA QB78 and added some air loaded a random pellet and hit the Marti Graw bead I was aiming at off hand @ 10 yards standing. <pats self on back>

Today was a 3 gun kinda day..
Started out with the .177 Buccaneer in the Urban stock... that gun still has a very slow leak.
Next was the ,177 CP1/Cp2/PP800 mix n match carbine... I found the missing probe. This little gun impresses me every time I pick it up.
Rounded off with the .177 Plinkster... I was surprised how well it did in the mid 50's temps.
