Thank you very much John. I'm kind of excited that I'm learning how to post pictures! I'm on aquarium forums also and for years people would say send pictures and I would have to say that I don't know how. ( they probably thought what a dumb @@@ ) I tell you what kids are a blessing! Well, I did this all by self this time without my sons help, posting a picture. I took my xs60c apart and redid the stock, I really like it so hopefully you will see a picture.

That is nice!  I'm inspired to refinish mine.  Did you use a chemical stripper to remove the varnish?  What did you stain it with?

No Carter, I started out with lacquer thinner and a scotch brite pad, very slow going. So I went to the paint store where I have an account and he said we don't handle stripper anymore because of the government restrictions the stripper that is available just doesn't work. So I went to menards and got some and yeah ne was right it's &^^&! So I took an orbital sander and between that and and a scotch brite pad soaked in lacquer thinner I got it done. Then I stained it with some stain that I had left over from a job but it just came out too light for me. I let it dry a little bit and went over it with more of a penetranting stain, I put it on a little heavy and spread it out with a brush. After it dried I sprayed it with satin polyurethane , let it dry, sanded it an gave it a couple of more coats. It's really not hard just time consuming.

Today I introduced an old friend to my air guns. Ended up spotting for him for several hours while he shot. He was giggling like a little kid soon after he started, couldn't put my D34 down. At the end of the shooting session asked me if I wanted to sell it.

Today I shot the gun formerly known as talon p but now with a longer barrel and Noble valve and higher pressure tank and a few other changes.   

I make no claims now about how it will perform over long ranges but I have it working really nicely and shooting well where I am testing indoors, unregulated from 3600 down to 2500.  At 3600 the PW has to be at 3 or 4 in order to open the valve.  Getting as good accuracy as any of my air guns shooting a range of projectiles from 33.5 to 60 grains more or less through the same not so small hole.  Using a choked LW barrel with low friction slugs for airgun barrels.

Not sure how accurate at 50 yds but good enough for me for now and ready to go when conditions permit.

Dialed up the power wheel just a bit and those 33.5's were making sonic booms...  that made my inner child very happy and my outer adult very nervous.  My neighbor would not approve...

Yesterday morning I called Mike at FDAR, my XS60C was losing power yet still accurate. I noticed the rearward bolt probe o-ring is starting to chunk up a bit. I inquired other possible areas, which I didn’t know for sure what I was talking about, other than I’m losing Co2 while installing new carts. Mike said, the bolt should be cocked rearward, that should do it. I told him I did that on the first few cart changes and totally forgot about doing that! So, despite not finding new o-rings anywhere near me, I got home early from work and decided to try it anyway. Shot it down and installed new carts “the right way”, and boom! This is what I got:

After shooting the XS60C, I just wanted to try the new AA pellets I got from Trenier the other day for the QB78D. Put in fresh C02 and wow! The target was looking good, put 7 out of ten right in the same hole as the XS60C 10-shot group, then I moved the scope forward for better eye relief because of how it felt on 12x, compared to the XS60C and forgot to adjust parallax. I slung those 2 to the left, adjusted parallax and shot the last one at the 2 o’clock. After the chrono, I shot 2 shots kneeling at a steel target, 25 meters and put one pellet right on top of the other POA=POI. I’m tickled.

Yes Sir... I don’t remember where I saw it first, or if it’s specific to the full power tune. I think it’s in the manual, actually, but I’m at work. But with the bolt closed, I was getting Co2 dumped out of the barrel until I got the cap tight. After Mike reminded me, I cocked the bolt to the rear, then replaced the carts & lost zero Co2 while tightening the cap.

If your getting that at  60 °F, you will definatly be happier at anything 80°F or more!

I got the geo ldc today and some h&n pellets. Until now I was just shooting some Crosman pellets. Holy moly I cannot believe how much better this gun likes the h&n pellets and the geo ldc is just phenomenal! I'm just really loving this gun, thanks to Scott and John both!

 Yes, when I got mine I was still a Newb and thought there was no way a pellet would make a difference.
 Heck the are both about the same weight, and both "Diabolo" shaped... how much could it matter?
 Then I tried a quality pellet like Mike M. had originally recommended and WOW!

The weather has been grand this weekend here in the Pineywoods.  Today was peep sighted HW30S day from the back porch.  Yesterday was scope sighted HW30S, Beeman R7 and HW 50S day from our back porch, all at 30 yards.

These four guns are all I'll ever need for my backyard shooting.  Why do I have an HW97K, a Diana 34 & 48 and a Beeman R9?  Why am I now lusting over an AA TX200?

Shot my new Benji 392 steroid and my “new replacement rifle” a Diana 350 mag. in 177 cal. The scope rail was loose on the first 350.
Numrich Gun Parts Corp. replaced it with no problems.

Both the Benji and Diana are sighted in and ready to hunt.
