Yesterday was a great day for shooting! I shot the DPMS A4, got the glass cleared up as good as it can be & zero’d. This rifle would greatly improve with a trigger job. I got about 35 shots off when my little shooting partner came out. Since it was cool & early she actually wanted to shoot. So I set her up with paintballs & silhouettes on top of the spoon spinner rack. I shot a total of 55 shots at a 5 spot zero target at 30 meters and she was blowing up paintballs and flinging silhouettes. It was great.

In fact, I think that your attachment is something that I should have thought of.
Thanks Fellas! The base and top are pressure treated 10” pine. The sides are cherry from a heavy pallet I took apart. I used 3 inch deck screws to pull it together and I cut a steel ferrule up to cover the 3/8” threaded rod that runs the width, with cut washers in between the ferrules and “S” hooks for the spoons. I drilled 3 small holes in the top for the golf tees that are easily replaceable. The spoons really fly around the ferrules with a well placed shot.
I finally got outside this afternoon to shoot at my new 10 M targets with my MC stocked CMP Daisy 853. This is the one with upgraded 753 sights. Right to left:Crosman wadcutterCPHPJSB 7.33 ExactsThe Exacts produced a hard to see, single hole ~ 1.5 pellets wide hole exactly dead center of the bull. Love this 853!
When possible I use a support like a tree branch or the side of a tree while hunting squirrels. This allows me to do head shots instead of body shots. But, with that said, in my back yard that's usually not possible. Yesterday produced squirrel number 3 with the .177 Ruger Air Hawk, all taken standing without support. Yes and all aiming center mass. Yesterday's kill caused me to rethink my rifle choice as it resulted in a wounded squirrel which I'm positive didn't last very long. So the pecan tree that I'm shooting these rats out of is estimated at 100 ft tall and these rascals are around 75 to 90 feet up, my patio where I'm shooting from is ~50 ft away. If my calculations are correct I'm shooting 25 to 30 yard shots. My Walther Parrus .22 is another rifle I can shoot well unsupported, and being a magnum springer I packs a punch. Downside is it's heavy but the POA / POI is the same from 25 yards to 35 yards using RWS Superdomes and Hatsan Stiker pellets.I started practicing with the Parrus yesterday, shooting at 25-35 yards 3" spinners. After about 20 practice shots with only 4 misses today I'll give it a try.
