Laid down on the deck with the .25 Matador on bipod with sand bag at rear, Hades pellets.

Swingers at 78 scope focused at 60 yards.  The wind seemed calm, after some misses, started  watching mirage.

The drift had a slight fish tail action going on. Hits on the small swinger required a bit of judgment, and then a quick shot before conditions changed.

I fixed a black wrap around grip 2nd variant Crosman 150 that I paid $40 for a while back. It was just missing the valve stem but I had one on hand that worked. I shot about 100 rounds through it. Six hours later it is still holding.

I forgot to put that I was hitting soda cans at 30 yards at will free hand I had two misses out of about 100 shots, it is a shooter! I will have to try this one on a paper target later. Today we are having the memorial service for my mom.

 Shot the Crosman 2200 with the new forearm, at 3 pumps into my pellet trap.

It's too hot to stay outside long but I managed a half an hour just before sundown.  I put thirty rounds of .25 cal JSB Exact Kings through the Striker.  I was shooting silhouettes at twenty five yards.  Not quite a tack driver but I was still flinging little metal critters all over the place.  Any misses were operator error.

50 yard exercises today with the Streamline, Wildcat, Royale 400, R9 .22 cal and the Hw77K in .177.  I am ALWAYS amazed at how well these guns can shoot!

Yesterday I got to shoot the DPMS A4 some more to finish getting it zero’d at 30 meters. My little shooting partner shot some paintballs and soda cans filled with water at 15 meters. I need to try to video our shooting some more. She shot a Dr. Pepper can filled to the rim dead center, L-R/Top to Bottom, and a water spout shot about 15 or more feet straight up out of the top and split the can in half. Then of course, she wanted to play in the water and blow bubbles. It is what it is, being King, she’s the Princess! So I left my shooting bench setup in the garage so I can seriously get some shooting in when the sun comes up. All I have to do is open the garage door and load!

I sighted in the Hammers 3-9x32AO that I had mounted on the Beeman QB78S.

This is the first time I shot anything in what seems like months. I've been so busy with retirement, work around the property,  mowing 13+ acres plus two other lawns every 8 days. This not counting the extreme heat and humidity had discouraged any shooting.

Yesterday morning around 6am I was sitting on the patio and noticed how good it felt. I was admiringly the back yard since I removed the chain link fence that surrounded the 5,000 sq ft play yard.

I had banged up my right thumb last Wednesday and since it was feeling better and the cooler temperature yesterday morning I decided to try out the QB78S.

I was not disappointed.  After sighting in, it was easy to keep the Daisy Flat nose pellets in one jagged hole at 10 yards. I moved the target to 20 yards; no problem with dime size groups there. Life is good.

Then my daughter called, her hot water heater is leaking.  Oh well ......

Made a telescoping bipod for my Artemis PP700SA using of .5" aluminum tubing then shot it with my new .22 barrel from Wes.

Shot an unfortunate overgrown zuchinni and paper. Spot on at 17 yards... one-holers. Loving it.

I shoot every day but always get the chores out of the way first.

Another cool morning.  Sipping coffee on the patio.
I noticed a squirrel in the top of a pecan tree. Stepped inside, picked up my go to pesting rifle (Ruger Air Hawk in .177 / UTG 3-9x40AO at 9x) ) and eliminated the pest. It was a 35 yard shot off hand with no support.  Couldn't get a clear head shot but center mass,  he only ran about 15 yards then expired.

I like using this Ruger Air Hawk because it is not hold sensitive,  it's easy to shoot off-handed and groups under an inch at 30 yards.

Being a father I can picture EVERYTHING you described here!  It sounds like a wonderful time and time we'll spent. 

No shooting today most likely.  Getting breakfast going (bacon, egg, cheese on English muffins) now and heading to the ocean/beach today (2hour drive).  Gonna be a long day but should be a great time.

Zeroed the Trailscout (back from repairs) at 25 yards. It was pretty windy - 9G13 - so it will have to be confirmed. I got a ton of shots >40  with no noticeable drop in POI before I started getting shaky (holding without rest, just a quick zero and function check) and moved the target in to 15 yards. Rifle kept firing and still no noticeable drop in POI. I quit, because I was getting really shaky - still recovering - and emptied the CO2. It took a LOT of cycles. Now I know just how badly the valve was leaking.  Rifle was still throwing some fliers, I'm going to have to look and see if the barrel is touching that band in the middle, or if it is supposed to be an not correctly touching. I briefly looked at it and saw a band of light on the left side. Maybe I'll take it off and see what happens.

Thanks, they were Field Target Trophy (.177 cal/8.64gr/4.52mm) Pellets. That rifle likes them. I had a tin delivered that was banged up.  I tediously separated them into 4 categories  undamaged,  slightly damaged, moderately damaged,  and severely damaged (trash). I straightened the slightly damaged to use for long range plinking. The moderately damaging I straightened as good as I can and I use those to season a new barrel.
The Ruger Air Hawk shoots the slightly damaged ones that I straightened superbly.  Those are the ones I used this morning on those two squirrels.

This morning was HW50S time.  I've seen where others have said the JSB and AA are the same pellets.  My 50S strongly disagrees with that premise.  She puts 5 AA's into a single 3/8" ragged hole at 30 yards whereas the JSB's have paper between the pellet holes.

So I had every intention of getting outside this afternoon but as fate would have it time slipped away. So down to the basement and out came the often overlooked daystate regal xl and my new shooting stick. On a 12 target sheet why is there always that one bull😒.

Yesterday was a great day for shooting! I shot the DPMS A4, got the glass cleared up as good as it can be & zero’d. This rifle would greatly improve with a trigger job. I got about 35 shots off when my little shooting partner came out. Since it was cool & early she actually wanted to shoot. So I set her up with paintballs & silhouettes on top of the spoon spinner rack. I shot a total of 55 shots at a 5 spot zero target at 30 meters and she was blowing up paintballs and flinging silhouettes. It was great.
