R9, HW77K, HW95 peeped. Various ranges from 20 - 45 yards at steel eggs and paintballs. The boys were out there too. They had HW30S, HW50S, HW95 and 1377. No pcp today. It was a nice break.

I put the 1/2 20 LDC adapter on my PP 750 and screwed on a Rocker LDC, just a pfft now vs ear ringing from a couple test shots in the basement range.

So spent the day plinking at targets and cattails etc with it, no pesting opportunities as of yet

Went back out a couple times this evening after shooting with the men and I shot my Streamline on low power and later in the evening just before dark I shot the 177 Wildcat. I sure love these rifles! So smooth and accurate.

I took the Anatolian ladies out to the cemetery (where I have my 100 yard range). The Hatsan Striker .25 is minute of beer can accurate at 50 yards with 20gr FTT's. Penetration at that range is poor. I'm pretty sure I had a couple of pellets bounce off of an empty 2 liter soda bottle at 45 yards! None the less it is lethal under thirty yards. The 125 is just flat amazing with .22 cal Air Arms 18gr domes. At 50 yards I was ringing my 1.5" spinner 4 out of 5 shots and that fifth shot was me and not the gun.

Then I took a break from wrestling the Turkish tag team and shot some 16gr JSB Straton pointed diablos through the Ruger Impact Max. I just got some of these to try in my .22s and it has proven to be outstanding in my RIM.

Finally....got a chance to try Crosman Piranha's through the Crosman 180. Blasts big holes in soup cans.

This 180 likes ALL the Crosman pellets so far... CPHP, Piranha's and Ultra Mags...

84* but only 39% humidity so i thought i'd shoot the 2260 and 2400kt after i sent a letter and some items off to one of the grandsons. arrived home from the post to find whitecaps on the lake. took a look out back at my highly technical wind indicator, twine hanging from a tree branch, and i couldn't see it. i found it stuck up in the tree. well i was determined to shoot today so i setup the rubber mulch backstop in the garage and hung a target with 1/4" circles. shooting 10 yards free hand, i did much better with the 2260. probably because it has a nice light trigger where as the 2400 is still in it's stock form.

Shot 'ol blue today , only once but that's all the situation required.

I took buttercup into the backyard to do her business ( had to make sure she didn't eat any cat poop ) and she stumbled upon a large aggressive rooster which of course turned on her.
Thankfully I introduced it to my boot before it could do any damage, but of course it turned towards me.
I rushed buttercup in the house, returned with 'ol blue, and 6 pumps later the situation was over.

I have seen a few chickens and roosters roaming the neighborhood, and I'm betting this is probably the one that attacked my neighbors chihuahua a couple weeks ago.

I went out to do some comparison shooting with several guns today. I shot my new Hatsan Striker against my RIM and my XS60c at 25 yards. I used my empirical power gauge. How briskly will a pellet move a 2.5" spinner at 25 yards? First up was the RIM shooting 16gr pellets. The .22 pellet knocked the spinner a good fifty to sixty degrees but couldn't flip it. Next was the Hatsan. 20gr FTT's in .25 cal kicked the spinner over the top in in a leisurely way. The surprise for me was that the XS60 came out the power king in this contest. The 18gr pellets spun the target with authority almost making two complete revolutions with several shots. I finished up by shooting some paper targets with my B-3.

I take that into consideration. I discard shots that don't hit in the target zone.

Swapped scopes on the new Benji Kratos and tried a new tin of 15.9 FX pellets (JSB 15.89) out to 50 yards...
After zeroing it in at mid power, the last 12 round mag load made me HAPPY!

Great day! My wife is back from Texas and there was a square package waiting for me from PA when I got home! I kissed the memsahib and got down to the important stuff. Testing the new Air Arms 25 cal Diablo Field pellets in my Hatsan Striker!

I fixed a black wrap around grip 2nd variant Crosman 150 that I paid $40 for a while back. It was just missing the valve stem but I had one on hand that worked. I shot about 100 rounds through it. Six hours later it is still holding.

My wife gave me a 5lb bag of potatoes that had gone bad and I was going to shoot them with the NP2 and some .22 wadcutters, but we had 35-40 mph winds today so maybe tomorrow.

I shot my R7 at 22 yards. Plain paper......first shot was the aim point. Five 5 shot groups. Largest a hair over 3/8" ....smallest a hair over 1/4". Ever have a gun where you just shake your head and say "This is unbelievable!" ? And, crazy that I am, I SOLD this rifle a few years ago. Came to my senses and bought it back. Absolutely my favorite rifle of all time. That's quite a statement for a 66 year old who's owned his share of really nice weapons.
