Fireworks scare me and give me bad dreams. My dog is terrified and just cowers in the corner shaking even after we give her some tranquilizers prescribed by our vet. At least this year the New Years fireworks were almost non-existent. Guy who does it the most will be at it again on the 4th. I figure when he stops I'll set his dogs off using my electronic game call -- using the coyote howls. Once they start barking, they don't stop for a while.

People in NH are firework crazy! Firework is legal here, and we have full time dedicated firework stores. Many people around here go all out during the holidays. Setting off firework displays that nearly rivals the town's 4th of July show.
Me, I don't get the appeal. After about 5 minutes, I'm pretty much bored.

I like the pretty fireworks. Don't care for the BOOMS like I used to. We just watch all those around us blow off their money. Ha ha! We are in the valley so we see fireworks going off all around. We just set lawn chairs out back by the fire and watch. It's amazing how many get lit off.

I shot my 9mm PCC in a USPSA competition this morning, then I shot my Gamo swarm fusion when I got home.
Best of both worlds.

Today was all about my Diana 350 in 177 shooting crosman 10.5 gr. domes.
I love this magnum springer...accurate, flat shooting, and hard hitting.

Shot my 22 armada with the MMHF barrel and it is still shooting the hades pellets very good. Un lubed and a lot more pellets through the barrel without cleaning it and it is still very accurate in my 13 yard indoor range. Then I shot my PP750 22 caliber. I found out it likes the destroyer pellets too. I cleaned the barrel on the PP750 which helped out a lot with accuracy.

My .25 Armada had a the stock barrel, and it shoots terrible once the barrel gets foul. It looks like it's time for another cleaning. I only had time for a few shots, the other day, and it was completely missing some easy targets under 40yd out.

Foggy this morning and I shot the D54 .20 with JSB Heavies and realized I HAD to change the zero by 8 clicks LEFT from Hector's eyes on the same rifle.

I had let time go by to make sure.

I kept hitting to the RIGHT instead of dead center so I FINALLY changed something his magical hands had set with wonderings of a curse coming upon me for doing so!

I also shot the HW98 .177 which is always always always like any other HW98 shooting always always always dead center when YOU do YOUR job!

Been playing with my new .22 Avenger today. I turned the regulator way down to around 1650, not sure how many turns I have the hammer spring at. I turned it down probably 1.5 turns. I have it averaging around 900fps with Crosman 14.3 Piranhas, I lost count of the shots I am getting per fill. I still need to zero it on paper, I just got it close enough for plinking today. I will get it zeroed and figure out what kind of shot count I am getting later.

Cold in Fairfield today.
Rain too.
Shot the HW35 for about an hour at 10 yards.
While doing that I put a CO2 cartridge in my pocket to warm it up.
Then took the 2300S out for a few.
Spending the winter with the IZZY seems to help a lot...

A couple of months ago, another shooter (duckfish) asked me to break-in his recently rebuilt FWB65.
I took it home and put about 1000 CPL 7.9s through it.
It loosened up well.
I took it back and explained the push/pull technique for cocking the 65.
Ed gave me a Beeman P17 as payment.
He had a spare.
I would never have bought one of these myself as I do not care for the look of the pistol.
It looks too much like a pistol from Austria.
But it shoots well - with the aforementioned 7.9CPL.
Offhand at 10 yards..
It will spend its life under the backseat of the Silverado..

David, what is on the end of the barrel on your kt whatever? That looks like a good front sight solution.

I put another 80 or so through my HW95, breaking in the new .22 barrel. After dinner I will continue with the 10 shots and run a patch and so on.

I swapped scopes on Maxine...
After several shots trying the BSA Catseye BSA 4-16X44 I took off because it's AO could not adjusted down to 10 meter indoors.
Mounted the Hammers 3-9X40 AO... much better focus on the AO.. zeroed it in and started printing paper.
MUCH IMPROVED...
Suddenly things went south. She was shooting progressively lower! Patterns opened up like crazy Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!
I was really struggling, checking Scope mount and ring screws... checking the Donny FL Tanto for loosness... all tight.

Then I put it in the rack and guess what I noticed... the gauge read 1000PSI.
I had shot it WELL below it's sweet spot of 1600 and never thought to check.

DUMKOFF!!!

Put 60 rounds through my HW95 running a patch after every 10 rounds. At lunch break I will shoot some more, following Hector’s barrel run in procedure.

It’s shooting really well, I just need to fix my hold inconsistency.
My missed shots repeat in the same holes. Then I adjust me and I am back on target.
