I haven’t shot the Gen I .22 Marauder for a few months so I took it out for 40 shots just to change the air in the tube. Shooting 14.3 Benjamin Discovery pellets it can’t hold a dime sized group at 20 yards. Maybe a quarter..
With shot #31-40 I shot my re-purposed spinner target with it and there is a video..

I found enough to get me by. Just need to wait on a replacement part that I ordered today. I was able to get it from PA so it should be here quick, fast and in a hurry. Pretty sure I dug deeper into the compressor than I needed to. I hope that don't end up biting me.

Well best to inspect everything you can than not and find later another part was damaged.

What a sweet, restful day! Well, after Sunday morning meeting....

First, I went out to shoot my Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk .177 after lunch. Started with it's favorite pellets--H&N 8.64 FTT, AA Diablo 8.4, and RWS 8.3 Dome. All three shot superbly. Then, I tried to expand the Venom's diet, adding a RWS 6.9, a H&N Excite HP 7.1, H&N Excite Econ 7.48 Wadcutter, Gamo 7.9 Tomahawks, and RWS 8.2 Pointed pellets. Well, of these tried, only the Gamo Tomahawks showed any consistency, and that was not nearly as tight as the initial 8.x pellets. I'm convinced that the Venom just loves most 8.2-8.64 pellets. I haven't tried 8.8 or 9.x pellets yet--and probably won't, since it does not shoot well with the CP Piranha or the H&N 10.2s.

Second, I shot and chronied my Colt SAA "Duke" pellet pistol. It was super consistent (107-112 m/sec) using Beeman 7.2 HPs and H&N Excite Econ 7.48WCs. Shot about 100 rounds with that pistol.

Third, I decided to have some fun with my odd-gun-out Remington 1911 RAC BB pistol. It's dang hard to load!!!!!! And, I wasted the first cart. of 12gr. due to a noticeable leak. But, finally got it loaded--only to look up in the big tree in my backyard to see two squirrels splayed out sunning on a limb (approximately 25 yards away). I got them both; no, not with the BB gun but with my HW95. The first squirrel just dropped (head shot); the second jumped and headed up the tree only to plummet from about 60 ft about 15 seconds later. That's my first time to kill two together.

I'm stoked: that makes a great start to squirrel eradication for this week.

Afterwards, had fun shooting my Remington. Though it's very loud, it's a load of fun to plink with.

It's a target that I found a pdf for online, I got rid of all the stuff on it other than the flower pot itself and did the target on my laser printer with normal paper.

I shot two squirrels today. One with 16gr jsb pellet and one with 15.5 gr NSA slug both from my .177. Then shot some Red Ryder paper targets I got from Walmart. Oh yeah and did a round of testing with the NSA slugs all three grains 15.5, 18 and 21.

Shot one of my modded 880’s and my 397 at 30 and 50 yds. Off a shooting stick and sitting on the ground.
Both of these rifles are laser accurate with their favorite pellets, and the little 880 kept pace with the 397 at both ranges.

Of course the 397 being at least twice as heavy as the 880 was easier to hold steady on target at 50 yds. off the shooting stick, but the 880 made up for it’s lack of weight with it’s much lighter trigger mod I did to it.

The 397 shoots faster and flatter, but I know the hold over with both guns, so the results were very much the same shooting at the bottom of a coke can at 50 yds.

This airgunning is just too much fun lol!!

This is amazing to me. I never figured a Daisy 880 (plastic or metal) would shoot that well at those distances.

Shot my hatsan 125 sniper vortex 22, started with h/n field target trophy that i have it zeroed with at 29 meters, as usual i shot at spinners and tincans first to warm up but didn't hit anything i aimed at... So shot 5 shot at the papertarget, 3 hits... Spread out, shot 5 more, same story, another 5 the same... I thought it could be the bad breech seal, cause it is bad and I have new ones but forgot to change it, but i had brought with me a tin of barracuda match so i shot at the biggest spinner and a loud PING, next one PING, and even the smallest one PING! So i shot at the papertarget and they where spot on! So now they are the ones to use... Finished of with shooting paintballs at golfpegs, at 29 meters opensight, then shot the golfpegs...

Okay, okay, it was yesterday - but have been sighting in my new to me and new HW50s. I want to get some pellets through making the shot cycle somewhat more smooth. But man, it was very windy, so I am still not sure if the scope has the right zero on 25yrds. Typically it only takes me about 10-12 shoots to sight in, but yesterday, after 70 shots...., meh...

Now that warm (really warm) weather is here my 2300KT is out and I am adding CO2 to the atmosphere. Fun not having to pump or cock a spring/piston. Just cock, load, and shoot.

CO2 season is upon us... I shot 4 carts out the 2060 build gun.
Testing the .20 Benji 14.36, the JSB 13.73, and the new heavy 15.89
With the power mods I am only getting about 15 shots before the FPS starts to drop but each hits hard and dead nuts accurate.

Didn't actually shoot today...
But we did stuff to prep our newly rearranged covered shooting range. We have a 12' wide wrap around deck surrounding our mobile home. The metal roof covers the entire thing, including our home. At one end of the rear of our home is the spare room/indoor 'tinker bench' and a combined room that Betty Lou's computer and the compressors occupy. There is a door from there to the rear deck. Just outside that door is where we put the shooting table. Using the Tasco rangefinder, it's 31yds to the other end of the covered deck where we set the target trap.
Before today, it was set up the opposite and we only used 2/3 the distance.
So now we have a sweet covered 31yd shooting range with our guns, compressors, tanks and all other shooting related items just inside the door from the bench.
We have fans and lights for night shooting when it cools down outside. I'll have roll up tarps I can drop to enclose us if it rains. We can also fire up a torpedo propane heater for the colder months..... all 2 of them... lol
