So.....what did you shoot today?

Something amiss with my CP99. Sometimes the bb falls out the end of the barrel before I get a chance to shoot it. I've yet to get in there and figure out why.

I noticed that the other day, I was taking up the slack in the trigger and found out when I did that I was pushing the bb through before the hammer hit the poppet to release the gas. So basically the bb gets pushed to far before you get your shot off and it rolls down the barrel.

Spent the first half of the day at middle child's lacrosse match. Came home and did some yard work. Finally got some shooting time.
First up was my sling shot with new bands. 10 slots in, new band broke  Original band lasted nearly 13 years.
Ran a magazine through the Urban. With no wind, the report was a bit too loud. Plus, with the foliage not in yet, the sound travels too far, probably alerting neighbors. So, went with something quieter: Benji SBD. Connecting with a beer can 70yd downrange, shooting off the knees.
Having done any pistol shooting for quite some times, I grabbed the P17.  Placed a plastic Halloween rat 15ft away on the lawn, and double off-handed. Also, had no problem connecting with the metal squirrel target 25yd downrange.
Beautiful day today, and to make things even sweeter, I have tomorrow off!

Played with the S510 .177 then Crown .25 and Air Speed .25 after dinner I think the RS II .22 and finish off with the .177 D460 . Weather has not been nice for most  of the day a brief break in the clouds then foggy and damp so no outside shooting for me

BAD DADDY!  BAD BAD DADDY!
So I put 100 or so through my 60C yesterday and today, before the cold FTTs were best and AA 16's.  JSB 15s and 14s were cr@p.  This weekend JSB 14s and 15s Just stacking up.  This gun has not shot like this before.  Way cool!!!
Just glad to be still shooting with my dumb broken left wrist.

This afternoon, I moved the peep sight forward on No 1 HW30S and sighted her back in at 25 yards.  After quite a bit more than a few pellets, I was finally able to smite the spinner spoons and shotgun shells off the target rack at 30 yards with some regularity.  I love my kleine frauleins!

Finished off the evening yesterday with the FX Crown 18 shots into one hole slightly ( very ) slightly larger than the .25 pellets at 10 yards . It was raining and I didn't want to get the new girl wet.

I stepped out for a few shots yesterday evening with the Baikal MP-46M and Daisy 953.  I popped paintballs at 15-20 feet and rolled plastic golf balls out to around 20-30 yards depending on which gun I was shooting.   Christopher (11 yo) joined for most of the time.

Now I am set up with the 953 and some steel targets out at 25 yards.  With such a low powered rifle and a slight breeze, this shooting poses quite a challenge.  I had to figure out the holdover and I needed to make a windage adjustment to get on target.  I'm holding 1.5 mils over for elevation.  It's beautiful outside!

Loosed a couple of dozen rounds practicing for the 50 foot bench match. It was pretty windy and shifting directions. One minute left to right, next straight at me. One minute 12mph next minute, nothing

Still did pretty good. Had one target that was on its way to a full score until I got distracted, loaded 2 pellets and bleah! Pa-tap, you know the soundd! Oh well that set was ruined!

Also tried some of that pellet lube stuff. It dosent seem to work. It changed the poi and the shots were more inconsistant.

So probably anouther 100 rounds before that works out

And, Killed a squirrel! Man, what a relief, I've missed nearly a dozen breaking in my new .177 Nitro Venom; so this was SWEET. One shot to the neck (facing me at 26 yds, up 10 yds in a tree, with the tree squarely behind).  Feels good to have one sit still long enough for me to remember all the dang things I have to do to get off a shot.

When I find some time I plan on designing a cocking aid for the p17. I love to shoot mine but after 20 pellets my hand has had enough.

Broke out the Rain Storm II and emptied a couple magazines in the man cave Still shoots single pellet size groups at 10 yards and under a dime at 25 when me and the conditions are in harmony. If I were going to keep this rifle it would get a HUMA regulator. It shoots pretty flat for 20 shots from ~ 2600 down to 1200 psi and I'm sure with a little hammer tuning and maybe some TP work it would probably do 30 plus shots with 30+ fpe. All I have done is install a little bit lighter hammer spring to eliminate the Korean cliff shot string,
