Maybe I should consider an Air Arms springer? I haven’t had one of those yet…

Put a buckrail moderator on the 2240. Much quiter.

Haven't pellet tested it so not sure what I have tgat it likes. Trying the apollos my d460 likes. The 2240 is mostly for plinming, but with the quietness I guess I can do some target shooting in the basement.

Pretty impressive power for a one cart co2 pistol. Small game worthy.

Put about 100 pellets through the Beeman RS2 (.177). Shooting quickly and breaking it in, seems reasonably accurate.

Still waiting on the GXPumps replacement so today out came the scope busting jumper, GTO lead free 11.75s and the 30yard match targets. Whilst grilling dinner I reminded myself artillery holding is an erodible skill. Losts of movement, holding too tight and must have sighted in with CPHPs because I was about 1 mil hold under on the few bulls I hit. Good to be shooting again. Tomorrow is LGR after work but I won't be able to post about what I have packed up....

I took advantage of a fairly calm start to the morning by shooting the 880, 50’ distance, standing offhand, tiny V8 can (5.5 ounces) placed in the pellet trap. Twenty shots. The sun burned off the clouds, and I do mean BURNED off.

The first three shots were the same perfect elevation relative to the paster dot, with one slightly to the right, one dead center on the dot, and one slightly to the left.

And then the fourth shot was laterally dead center yet a little over an inch too low. hey!?

?? The next several were all even lower than that. I got things back to normal after that but don’t know what to make of the poor shots. I probably relaxed my hold a hair too soon after firing. That’s a bad habit I’ve been working on fixing. The next practice might help me figure out what happened.

My Crosman C3622 came today, so I aired it up and shot it, darn thing works

Mounted a Beeman 4x32 duplex scope on it, seems to be shooting Norma 17.6 gr pellets very accurately one hole @ 10m

Yesterday off the back porch shot some cat food cans with a Daisy Model 93, a ASG ISSC M22 and a Umarex 9XP/40F. Couple of mags. each.

Today was LGR day but without the Compressor I took the scope busting jumper and "those other things..."
I have much work to do on my jumper technique....

The weather turned cloudy and cool as the sun was setting. It felt wonderful.

I grabbed 5 pellets for the Blue Streak and shot a soup can at 50’ (twice), plus 3 at a dead tree from 80’ and then 90’. The goal (realized tonight) was just to aim quickly at lower and higher targets and hit them all. I consider the Streak my grab-and-go gun, so getting used to using the peep sight is rewarding.

I’m on the last 20 pellets from a tin of JSB 13.73 gr. Gonna shoot H&N 11.42 gr for a while next.

The Eurasian Collared Doves I so detest have been staying well away from our home this summer. I might not even need to “pest” them. Though I will still try to improve skills for that, just in case. They hate the gun sounds and the steel can sounds, I guess. LOL.

Did an offhand shooting comparison of the P-17 and IZH 46M. Of course the IZH won but the P-17 did pretty well. P-17 wins the accuracy per dollar contest.

Those P17s are one of, if not THE best values in airguns. I bought mine when they were $35. Not sure what they get for one now.

Today it's still a good deal for $50.77 on Amazon. I bought a couple for $25.00 to $30.00 in 2019-2020. The $7.50 P-17s were one of the all time best deals. I never got in on that amazing deal. Should have bought a bunch of them but it's unlikely that I will ever wear out the 2 I have.
