I took my Hatsan mod 135 out to the sand quarry in the National Forest.  I set up some spinners at 30 and 50 yards and started testing different pellets.  The JSB Kings are still it’s preferred fodder.  I was hoping it would show some accuracy with H&N Baracuda Hunters but no joy.
While I was there a local stopped by to scavenge for lead and brass since this is a popular shooting spot.  After politely inquiring what I was shooting he showed no more interest and wandered off.  Which struck me as odd since most folks will usually remark about my air rifles but this fellow showed no interest at all. 

I plinked with the C2200 and some Ruger pointed pellets while I was cooking a couple of chickens in the smoker this evening.

Today was the first time I've ever fired JSB brand pellets through my R9 and all I can say is WOW!! My buddy brought over a tin of JSB 15.89 gr diabolos and a tin of the 15.9 gr FX for me to try so I chronographed both of them at 30 yards and the results were JSB 559 fps and the FX 564 fps I was happy to achieve 11 ft lbs at 30 yards the thing is these pellets have an impressive B.C. after my buddy left I chronographed both of them at 3.5 yards and the JSB's produced 620 fps and the FX pellets produced 630 fps. I punched these numbers into the Pyramid Air Ballistics Calculator and came up with a B.C. of .0287 for the JSB's and .029 for the FX pellets. Just for fun I checked the remaining velocity at 40 yards using the Ballistics Program (I didn't actually shoot them that far) and according to the program the FX pellets are still traveling at 530 fps for 9.93 ft lbs, I was impressed👍🎯! I did a preliminary accuracy test on the basement 10 meter range and they basically made one ragged hole for 5 shots. Later this week my buddy and I are going to do some distance shooting and I'll find out then how well they do, so far the only far away targets have been my squirrel reset target at 20 yards and my Birchwood Casey three in a row lollypop swingers and they hit all of them every time! I've always wondered why JSB pellets get so much coverage, you see people mention them regularly, now I have an idea why.  These are the best performing pellets I have ever fired through this rifle and I've fired more than I care to list here.   Above all I had a lot of fun👍😃

Tried the NOE217RF20 with the cupped skirt pin in the Gamo Jumper on reactives.  Seemed accurate enough for plinking, but not as accurate as the longest pin 19.2s

A couple days ago I hung a couple of small pop bottles from a grape arbor in the back yard. I am on crutches from foot surgery and wanted something to shoot at with my beeman P-17  pistol and not have to walk out to check them . To give them weight and to be easier to see birdseed was quickest thing I had to fill them the beeman isn't powerful enough to go through it  today I watched birds and a squirrel trying to get the seed .😁  Almost as fun as shooting

This Slavia 618 arrived today and I'll probably be shooting it pretty much all week whenever I've got the chance
After some testing it shoots significantly harder than my other one that's always giving me trouble, and it even does so with pellets my other one is generally too weak to fire.


I drifted the rear sight out and put a peep sight on it because I can on this one, but also because it was shooting to the right and couldn't really be adjusted anymore.

I had one once, had to restore it. Made new seals for it.
Low powered but an awesome little shooter.  LOL

I had to make a new piston seal and new breech seal for my other one, but it still shoots very weak even with a spacer added behind the spring.
It's also much quieter and less buzzy than this one, I didn't really pay attention when I've been inside the gun but I'm suspecting that the spring might be worn out.
This one is a pretty good shooter.

Since my 853 is out of commission for a while, I've been shooting my Umarex APX pumper with
a reflex sight.

4 pumps is good enough for me, 3 if I want the cans to really dance.

I shot 125 BBs through the DPMS.  It is a very refreshing way to shoot.

Gk1 v3 .25 at lower power setting, shooting 34 grain FX pellets. From 330 bar down to 270

I was shooting lighter pellets with this particular tune but all I have are the 34 gr at the moment.  Busted out the chronograph to see what was going on I thought this would be of interest here.

 The FX DRS .22 500 mm at 121 yards, I took this pic first time I drove up to check grouping, then hung a fry pan at about 110 yards from a branch over the freezer door we were shooting at. Nick had the hits on the right side, and some small flecks from his Chaser HPA at the same distance.

I was able to test shoot the pp800r project now that the Romeo5 is mounted.  I love the 2 moa dot and the red is clear and bright.  Windage seams to be adjusted now.  Still some work to do on elevation.  Grouping decent for off hand unsupported.  She liked the NOE217RFs in 19.2 and also the cup based 26gr (tail heavier). 
Shot a 1" ragged hole through the Notos with the dished skirt 217RFs offhand at 14yards working on target acquisition speed.  And another mag of offhand reactives just as the sun set.

I received the replacement action from CMP this afternoon.
I was not expecting all of this. :



I was just expecting the aluminum housing and not the whole gun, minus the stock, barrel band, and front sight / barrel weight.

Now just to switch the innards from the old to the new old.
I did notice that the new barrel doesn't have the flat milled on the bottom of the barrel on the front for centering the
front sight with the set screws.
I just hope it's still a WL barrel.

CMP is awesome.
