Water Pump Problem:Yesterday, I decided to remove the hose from the water pump. I had just started to remove the hose, when the plastic nipple just came right out. It came out with just a slight tug. After inspecting everything closely, it looked like it was a press-fit. Not glued in place..I decided to try some superglue. It's not coming out now.. So, if your YH compressor starts overheating badly, check the pump nipple, it may have popped out.. Cheers,Rich

Medical super glues are not water soluble and I believe you can find non water soluble super glue at auto supply stores as well. Just thought I would let you know so you can keep an eye on it to see if it comes loose.Mike

I used it at work, on items (experimental antenna parts) that were used in the rain, and never had any problems. I suspect the 'government' super glue wasn't the same stuff we get at the dollar store.. Thanks for the info. I checked the package, and it's not recommended for water immersion. I will let the pump soak for a while before using it this afternoon. I have two screw-on cylinders for my FT rifle, that need to be topped off..I noticed the water pump has a little lever, that swings to - & + , if in the - position, there is no flow.. Thanks,Rich
