    Nice work Carl, just tagging in here so I can keep up with this thread, as I plan on doing a 257 conversion on my TalonDor rig. I may use my second Talon since I have just started stretching the 25 TalonDor rig out. This past weekend finally got past the 150 yard mark with 4 hits on steel at 162 yards. I have been following RC, Knife, RJ Porter, and the rest of the crew over at the TAG for the past few years. They have kept me drooling to build a 257 and really reach out there. It would also be a big hit with the 4-H kids on the silhouette range. They though it was wild when I was knocking down the small bore rams at 100 yards with my rig. Ho cool would it be to take a prepped and dialed in 257 to the next Camp Perry trip!

The practical limit is when the muzzle blocks out the line of sight.... and you're getting pretty close to that point now....

Maybe using offset scope rings he could focus past the barrel and get that 2000yd shot.

Air will NEVER be equal to powder......Not even Black Power but has closed on it.....Camp Perry is out.............With computer print outs and all the data i have gained doing this, 1000 yds can be reached with a .257, but will NEVER be competitive at PERRY..........I have some OTHER video's to post in weeks to come so know this to be true on the .257 for distance.......Keep on trying ...............Carl

No. Have no interest in doing so or competing......In all of the 90's traveled 4 western states shooting 1000 yd matches.........Had a WALL FULL of trophies that are boxed up now......Past 4 years shot F-Class to 1000 yds.......Won several of them and was shooting a MATCH twice monthly. One monthly match at the range i am shooting this airgun ....I enjoy being the first person to hit a target as far as I have with an air rifle....I have 2 more videos made, not posted that extends the range twice more beyond this video..I increase distance by 100 yds at a time but shooting a scrap steel plate or larger target as distance is much greater and carry in my car the plate.......I have been 3 time the past week and have some surprising good news......Will post one video in couple weeks or so and another much later...........Thanks for the question...........Carl

It is good for the sport.  You encourage others
To try.
I have hit 20 oz. Water bottles at 300 pretty easy
But 400 is a lot lot harder.

Glad you enjoy and appreciate ..........I was encouraged when i first saw TOFAZFOU 1/4 mile soda can video. I read all his dedication page of others and after 65 yrs shooting was intrigued with air....Got into it in FEB of this year and keep pushing .......You also get it, as you stated, 400 yds is a lot harder than 300 and keeps going that way each 100 yds i increase the distance.....

Happy if anyone is encouraged with knowledge of what can be achieved with a .257..Am actually enjoying rowing in these uncharted waters  to distances with AIR, no one has charted before ..........................Carl
