The practical limit is when the muzzle blocks out the line of sight.... and you're getting pretty close to that point now....Bob
Never mind. I don't feel right raining on your parade. Go for it, bro.
Amamzing what you and your rifle are doing.
I wonder how much spin is left at that range if any.
You can mount the scope off to the side, if you sight in at 500 yards, the impact will only be off by how far the scope is off center at 1000 yards, in the other direction.... eg. scope 2" left, sighted at 500, impact 2" right at 1000....Bob
Awesome shooting rifle50! Well Sir, You have a bit track left there and I believe You could reach that end some day.
is one of those tricks shooting downhill..
Awesome shooting! Incase I missed it, what scope and power are you using?
If you put a rail on the side of the existing scope mount, and mount the scope on its side, the elevation turret will become windage and vice versa.... and you could angle the rail at whatever you need to get most of the elevation adjustment.... It would be pretty simple to do, and no limit due to the optics any more.... Sighted at 500 yards, you will need only 3* of elevation to be pretty close at 1000 yards.... easy to build that into a side rail....Bob
thanks but I must be having a SENIOR MOMENT, as I can't comprehend this part of your statement above-- ""Well Sir, You have a bit track left there"
