Tis the Season! My 2015/16 thread

 Thanks Ed! Indeed the predators are not acting themselves this mild winter. Which is indeed good for my chickens.

 I've been busy building 880's and cigar box guitars, as well as trapping, not leaving much nutter time. Mating season must be beginning as red nutters have been chasing each other around the yard.

  I loaded a new 880 I built , pumped it up, and put it on the porch. Link to the 880 build here: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=103212.0

  I went outside to grab soldier from my shop, carried the 880 and saw this red nutter, a bigun , at 15 yards. Took him with a vitals shot at 15 yards, standing offhand. Now to clean him quick and get back to work  BTW, rolled over dead right there.

 Thanks Ed! Funny how the game thing works isn't it? Hunting one thing, something else shows up. I once killed a raccoon on a crossbow deer hunt. The thing came up the hill and was going to run me over, so I stopped it

 I was out cutting firewood all day today. Armed of course  . I had my new favorite 880 build with me.

  Saw quite a few, always when a chainsaw was in my hand 

   Until this red/gray hybrid freak presented itself while I was loading the truck. Easy 20 yard brain shot. One more for the freezer.

I would be interested to know what it is doing at 20 pumps. As far as a your Daisy shooting faster than my 2100... I say it can not be done.  Just kidding!! Would be cool to have a 900 fps daisy.

  I don't think this one will. With this one I'm trying to get the most I can, without modding the valve or main body at all.Even the transfer port is still stock sized.  Only part that isn't original Daisy is the hammer spring. Now on the next .177, I'll go hog wild and port , polish, drill out the transfer port etc etc. That one could be interesting.

1st starling that visited us this year that I know of. The youngin didn't last long. 32 yard standing offhand shot. Sorted, washed and lubed 10 grain Winnie dome. Darn thing got stuck in the crotch of the young tree I shot it in. Had to shake it out.
We have large farms 1/4 mile each way from us. So the starlings rarely come to raid our chicken and duck feed, but when they do 

   Used what is becoming my favorite 880. The 800 FPS $6 FrankenDaisy.
