Two Marauder P-rods...

Here are two of my latest projects... Both share very similar mods as far as internals - extra heavy hammer springs, 5/32 TPs, heavy mods on the valve... Both are set up with red dots and both are intended for 10-30 yards. One is for plinking, the other is.. for heavy hitting plinking lol.
#1. A 13ci bottle conversion, regulated @~1400psi. Making 16+fpe with 25.39gr JSB Monsters. 100+ shots (?) from 3k fill. I don't know for sure how many, I got tired after 50 shots from 2500 down to 1800 psi lol. Very quiet for backyard plinking.
#2. A high power Prod, making 38fpe with 32.4 gr Eun Jins. 14 inch cut and re crowned .22 Mrod barrel, Lloyd's Double Tube, tapered probe. Two full mags from 3k to 2k psi. Boy this thing is loud. But the moderator takes it down a notch. Hits almost as hard as my regulated .25 Mrod @42fpe.

Nice. How accurate does #2 shoot with the choke cut out of the barrel?

I love #1. What sort of adapter did you use with the hpa tank?

Thanks guys.
JDSAirman makes some nice products for these conversions - adapters, tanks and regulators. My next project is a 500cc bottle conversion of my Mrod. I also have a video of the installation I'll post later.
The accuracy on the cut down barrel is good. For the intended purpose and with the given optic I'd say great. Dime sized or smaller groups at 10 yards with a red dot. I was also hitting the large spinner of the .22LR steel target set @43 yards, off hand as a pistol, 3 for 3.

Heh heh
38fpe hawg leg. Very nice. That's right where the QB is running that I'm trying to wrap up for Ron. And that sucker's loud bare-barreled too. Apples and oranges though. Low pressure/long barrel vs high pressure/short barrel.
Interesting guns you've put together. Keep us posted on how they shoot.

You really DONT NEED all that power in a P-rod. Lol. But it's there if you want it. Gets a lot more shots @ 29-30 fpe. I'll post some strings later.
Here is a short video of it shooting through half inch pine board. Didn't hit 38 fpe on this run - changed a few settings before the shoot, so just shy of 37 now.

That Double Tube P-rod is a 2-in-1 lol. Check out this string, using 21.14gr Kodiaks:
Get two shots at max power settings (4HS 1/2HT) @35 fpe
Lower spring tension to 2HS, get another 22 shots @ 27-30fpe until you hit 1900psi...
Lower spring tension to 0HS, get another 15-16 shots @ 22-24fpe until you hit 1300psi...
All from the same fill, 2900psi
And here is the max power string, touching 38fpe:
HS 4
HT 1/2
start fill 3000 psi
end fill 2000 psi

Freaking nice Prods Tefloncoated
I would like to see the video/photos of the making of the bottle Prod.
Did you cut your Prod receiver down or did you send it out to a machine shop?

Hey thanks guys! I appreciate the good words
Here is a short picture video of the install process:
I'll take some pics of the modified Prod valve next to a stock one and describe all the mods.... Although they're pretty standard - opening up the airflow and volume to the max where it's possible

What size did you open the barrel upto? I was looking to use my 1/2" reamer, but looks like that will open up to the two breech screw holes. Other drill sizes would be appreciated as well. Thx.
