P-rod: How to make a lightweight removable stock for $18 for Marauder Pistol

I posted this on the marauder forums, thought I'd share it here as well... hopefully helps someone.

Mr Hill makes a great stock with excellent fit, finish and features. It served as an inspiration for this project.  I wanted to make a much less expensive and slightly less sophisticated version, here is a short guide:

I bought a  Swiffer WetJet Spray starter kit on Amazon: amzn.to/1ELpxhl for 18 bucks.  I am sure they have them at any Walmart or Supermarket.  Well... i only bought it AFTER I "ruined" (according to the one who is always right, yeah that one) the one we had 

The larger tube is EXACTLY the diameter of the P-rod pressure tube cap.  Cut the tube to desired length of pull (LOP) of your new stock. Leave an inch or so for play and adjustments, better be safe than sorry. I like a short LOP but some like it longer.  Cut and trim one end to fit over the breech on top and over the grip/trigger assembly on the bottom (see pic)

Re-use your original P-rod stock and cut off the shoulder portion with about 3-4 inches on the top and flush on the bottom.  Trim the triangular edges to fit snugly into the swiffer tube.  Insert, adjust, make sure it's all to your liking. Secure it with JB Weld or similar.

I also used a common foam tube i had laying around for a cheek rest. 

The new stock fits very snug on the pressure tube cap, good enough for my purposes.  But you could also drill and tap a hole in the cap and use a bolt or a sling attachment stud to hold it more securely.
