If you want more power, try shooting heavier bullets faster. Increasing fill pressure could help with shot count a little and depending on how the gun is set up you could actually lose power. The Texan is already pretty much an overdone maxed out Condor with a few differences. This might limit what can be done.
Several people who have tried to ad more pressure, have experienced valve lock with very little added pressure. Perhaps possible with a modded valve?Knife
Anything below 200gn reaches maximum FPS at less than 3000psi... I'm sure with a little tweaking the valve could provide a few more FPS to lighter projectiles, however I don't think you'll get more FPS for the heavier projectiles without some serious valve mods, and running the gun at a higher PSI. As it is 3000psi is only necessary for heavier projectiles, and allows us to be economical with air for a big bore gun.I must admit the valve is pretty accommodating as it is, producing high FPS at anything between 147gn and 400gn, without adjustment. It also gives pretty good shot strings on lighter projectiles, with up to 6 shots in a small group at 100yards. It behaves, almost like it's regulated. In fact I don't know how they managed to get this much power at 3000psi, with such versatility.Good Luck! trying to improve on it

In general terms, increasing the pressure in a PCP that is maxed out already will generate an increase in FPE in direct proportion to the pressure.... PROVIDING the hammer can still open the valve fully.... Whether it is SAFE to do so will depend on the design of the gun, but I'm betting if you ask AirForce if you can run over their recommended pressure they will say a most emphatic NO.... If the gun is already shooting slower on the first shot than the peak velocity, adding pressure will slow it down even more if you make no other changes....Bob

Touching on the 600+ FPE is out there. Of course other things like the valve will have to be able to handle the pressure as i'm sure a good machinist could do that.............I am POSITIVE asking Airforce about additional pressure they would say NO, Voids warranty and other &^^& to appease their lawyers........Wasn't planning on asking........KNIFE answered that just a little more pressure and VALVE LOCKS....IF THE VALVE will flow more AIR, then a custom HEAVIER SPRING will do it....Drive that valve open.....I will call tomorrow and ask if they will just sell a VALVE ONLY, Or tank + including valve as they do for their other guns?? DOUG would like to examine one and gun too.....I had CUSTOM SPRINGS made for my gun and if i can get and eventually WILL a larger capacity valve i will MAKE A SERIOUS TEXAN.....As a poster above says it makes enough energy......For him it does, but with anything in MY life, If a little is good, More is better, and TO MUCH is about right. And for and airgun even 500 ft lbs isn't all that......BIG BORE AIRGUNS is making rifles with over 1500 ft lbs..... I used to compete with a single shot match benchrest rifle in .50 BMG and with 250 gr of powder and 800 gr bullet at just 2900 fps equaled 14,800 fpe.......That would wake you when you touched that off......I competed for 9 straight years at RATON NM at the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS......ANYWAY I SEE the TEXAN could use some serious HOT RODDING .......................Carl

heck why not just go helium, you,ll hot rod your fps/fpe,.with out touching the valve.or so i am told anyways.
